That is very interesting eldergarth, thank you for that info. I will try something before bed ... a piece of cheese sounds good to me. My FBS is still 13.3. I picked up the new machine today and will have it working soon...I hopeHi ellagy sorry taken me a while to respond but have been having quite a few problems to deal with .
You say you are following the LCHF diet for last couple of weeks but still getting FBG in double figures .
I was similar to you when I was first diagnosed (see my signature below ) and had the same problem when first started the LCHF diet so firstly don't worry to much about it .
The explanation to it is you have over the years built up sugar in your body which has turned to fat which your body has got used to know you have cut out your sugar intake ie carbs your body is starting to use the storage you built up to make up for it hence still high readings once your store of fat goes down you will start to see your BG'S start to drop .
Also your body naturally releases glucose in a morning to give us energy to wake up which is what is called the dawn phenomenon you can help kerb this by having a protein snack just before bed ie cheese or nuts .
Don't worry to much at this stage but stick at it and you will soon see the results you would like and any questions or problems just ask
Ron
A step in the right direction at last.Hi all @JohnEGreen @13lizanne @Liam1955 @ickihun @debrasue @Diamum5972 @maureen5752 and any I forgot just got back from hospital and now been confirmed not fit for work and now awaiting appointment for EMG study and being referred to pain clinic once results in from emg study so even more time of sick .
Sorry to hear that Vicky you been a rock for me since my diagnosis my shoulder is always here when ever you need itSeeing gp on tuesday about pelvic pain. Was going to ask for naproxen again. Since I'm under 65yr old I should be safe from related heart attack risk associated with it.
Getting a little depressed with it all now. Had a good cry last night and still down today.
Partner away for week next week, mother too and older son next weekend. Blackpool cannot come soon enough in November. Just need a childfree break too.
I need to keep going for my kids.
From what I have read of your medical issues eldergarth the fact they have confirmed you are not fit for work is a good thing. I realise you might not think so but you really do need to be resting! I don't think putting up fence posts countsHi all @JohnEGreen @13lizanne @Liam1955 @ickihun @debrasue @Diamum5972 @maureen5752 and any I forgot just got back from hospital and now been confirmed not fit for work and now awaiting appointment for EMG study and being referred to pain clinic once results in from emg study so even more time of sick .
Don't think of it as "even more time off sick", Ron - think of it as being given the time to concentrate on yourself and your health, without having to worry about how soon you'll have to struggle back to work. At least you know that they're taking you seriously and you're getting the best possible care. Relax, and just concentrate on you and Tina, and be thankful for being able to spend this time together. Big hugs xxHi all @JohnEGreen @13lizanne @Liam1955 @ickihun @debrasue @Diamum5972 @maureen5752 and any I forgot just got back from hospital and now been confirmed not fit for work and now awaiting appointment for EMG study and being referred to pain clinic once results in from emg study so even more time of sick .
