Maybe a meet up can be arranged well in advance so we can work around our out-patient appointments. Seriousness of appointment prevailing?
Mind u most saturdays or sundays might be less unavailable?
We need a diary section in these threads so we can try and arrange dates!
What do you think?
Everyone?

Actually Vicky = that is a good idea. :)

Thanks Vicky, I've been having a few twinges while sorting out Michael's flat so I'm being extra cautious. I've cheated and ordered a cleaning lady for tomorrow :)

If you can make it we're going to Edinburgh in March, I'm extending the invitation to all the T2L crew. Paging @13lizanne, @Liam1955, @debrasue and anyone else who can afford the train fare up there! We're travelling up on Thursday 9th March and coming home on the Saturday
Oh, Barbara - I would so, so, so love to do that! But realistically that would be a pretty epic journey for me from here, so I don't think I'd be able to. I'll be with you all in spirit, though. Maybe we could all do a Skype call when you're all together .....

That sounds like a great idea Vicky, I'm lucky because the only out patient appointment I have is my eye exam and that's only once a year!

I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
Good Morning, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk "Type 2 Life" Forum,

I am posting to tell you that I had a good night's sleep and my blood glucose this morning was 5.2 mmol then I ate 1 tomato sandwich and 1 small Sainsbury's Basics Cheese And Tomato Pizza cut into 4 pieces for my breakfast. I am now at the library logging on.

Have a lovely Saturday and a beautiful weekend.

Love from,

Johnny Baker.

Looking for plenty of distractions this weekend.
Once tuesdays scan is done I'll know if I need stents or not. Something is causing the breathlessness and lack of energy/tiredness.
Read an article in daily mail stating stents don't stop a heart attack occuring. Great! What is the point of them then? Well I'd be happy with my activity levels to return. I was struggling like hell to do 3 days a week swimming. Not the swimming per se but the getting bags ready, pushing 9yr old into redressing from uniform to sports clothing and out in time for sessions.
Looking back I've had this problem for a while. I've been struggling before my immobility. I'm wondering if immobility is a symptom to my heart problem.
I heard my heart on monitor during echocardiogram. It sounded fine to me but a heart beat is just a heart beat to me. I'm alive, which I knew that already. ;)
I don't think my heart is pumping strong enough for my age. The pumping levels were not right to the top nor bottom. That is why cardio specialist doing echo asked about a myocardial perfusion scan appointment?
When he said I had a good heart, he must mean no defects!
I take heart as stents are common for diabetic patients, apparently.

@debrasue I know not a great time to get you to commit due to arthritis worse lately but how far can you reach to meet us. Geographically? I don't won't you missed out. Its for us all. :)
I've deleted skype from my systems as they were struggling with the space needed for them when I only use for 2 german friends so I use fb instead.
I'm totally off fb at mo. I have so much on there I cannot see the wood for the trees. I need a new notepad/laptop. @eddie1968 might sort me out a second hand one but I haven't seen him here for ages. I'd love him to meet up with us too! @Cumberland and @mo53 would be great to see too.
Please tag others you want to join us. They are most welcome.
Just venue and date to confirm!!! :) :) :)
Ps. Anyone seen @maureen5752 lately?

Hi, Vicky!
Yes, I saw @maureen5752 on Good Afternoon/Evening yesterday, but you're right - I haven't seen @eddie1968 on here for ages. I guess he's all scooched up with his new ladylove!
As regards the meet-up, I really would love to do this but, as you've spotted, the biggest handicap for me at present is my moblity, which is totally rubbish at the moment. The problem for me right now isn't geographical - I've been to Edinburgh many times and totally love it, and I'm also very fond of your neck of the woods, having a close friend who lives in Morpeth.
No, it's simply down to mobility, and it wouldn't matter if it was Edinburgh or half an hour away in the Cotswolds - I just couldn't do it at the moment.
But I know that things can change with the weather (literally!), so I think it's probably best for you guys to arrange the meet-up and if I'm in a good place when it happens, I'll be there too, no matter where it is. Sorry, peeps - I know it's frustrating; it's driving my family and me crazy right now, too, but unfortunately that's the nature of the beast. (As I'm sure other "Arthur Itis" sufferers will be able to relate to!) :(

I need to meet up in York soon @Liam1955 . I'm going stir crazy! Not used to all this refrained to barricks stuff. As soon as I know what's happening I need a trip out. Direct train from Sunderland and a snails pace to railway museum? Would R bring you?
I'll have to seat around in there but must see you. I'd like your opinion on my problem face on. I wonder what you'll say? I'm a mess. Gulp!

@ickihun - Vicky, just give me a rough idea of when? And I will go through my schedule of appointments to check dates.
I'm intrigued at what you want my opinion on? :nailbiting:

Ron's new wheels have come . Unfortunately not the one we had on order from OT . Got fed up of waiting and when you try and ring nobody is returning Ron's calls. So Ron has gone and brought his own. Freedom at last.

Now all we got to do is sort out the housing. Had to call on the help of our M.P.
Sometimes they are the only ones who can make sense of the mess of benefits. Going from being workers its a minefield. Even staff all confused. God help claimants.
