Our childhood families are over-rated, in my opinion. Mine live just a couple of miles away from me, yet they never make the effort to pick up the phone or drop in for a visit, and lately I'm asking myself why I bother to stay in touch with them. I learned from a non-family member, quite randomly, yesterday that I am due to be a Great Aunt in June - that was news to me!!

But don't worry Vicky - you have plenty of friends on here to ask how you're doing and to give you love and support. We care enough to ask how you are, and we are genuinely interested in your reply. We feel your pain, and celebrate your triumphs - and you will get more triumphs, hun. As @tina_marie says above, just give it time...

Hope you're feeling a bit better and happier today.

Big hugs xx
I'm feeling upbeat now my feet and eyes are good. I need them as much as my heart.
I'm typing with blurry eyes and sunglasses on. Nothing stops me! Ha ha
Thank you for your encouragement. I've written that failed ct angiogram. Poof! Its gone, good bye to bad rubbish. I'll worry about full angiogram when the date drops on my mat.
Til then I'll try and forget it all.
Planning cauliflour cheese for late lunch after catching up here and a bit streets of San Francisco. I love some of the old dramas. They often make me giggle.
I'm here for you too @debrasue . We need each other in diabetic bad days, and good. :)

Thank you Debra sue the last three six monthly results since I found this forum and discovered lchf and IF were - 40, 41 and 41 respectively. Sometimes it's hard to keep away from the carbs but it's so worth it. I was diagnosed as t2 in June 2006 with a HbA1c of 96 and was on metformin for 9.5yrs until I found this forum and www.dietdoctor.com
I'm proud of you, honey, and it's been a privilege to get to know you on the forum. You are a lovely, lovely lady xx

Well done @13lizanne and considering that included not only Christmas but also a period of time when you weren't well that's very good. Your morning readings are normally so much better than mine and it's good to see recently that they've gone back to normal for you.

I think the problem maybe two-fold

1. Too much protein, I eat at least 2lb of cheese a week, and can't put a 200g pack of peanuts down till they are all gone.
2. Not enough fluid. I drink 4 cups of coffee and a cup of red tea each day and 2 or 3 glasses of water. Don't think I can count the wine;)

When I had my bloods taken the Phlebotomist complained at how deflated my veins were, and asked how much water I had drunk that morning (this was 9 am). Well none yet, I have a japanese bladder - small but efficient!
Mrs W_F who was a Practice Nurse for years told me that dehydration might cause an elevated reading, and to get a retest, making sure I had drunk a load of water and no alcohol for the previous 24 hrs. (I had demolished a bottle the previous night)
But I don't want to 'clutch at straws'

Thank you for the information @walnut_face Now I have a few ideas before my next test. I send you my best wishes that your problem can be sorted.

I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
Good Morning, my good, fine friends,

I haven't logged on in days! I'm back at my local library this morning, Friday 3rd February, 2017, at 11:04 Ante Meridian.

Had a good, but somewhat sleepless, night with Lee, my best friend, watching MTV and 4Music videos. My blood glucose was an excellent 5.1 Millimoles Per Litre! I've now cut all sweeteners and sugar out of my cups of tea and coffee. This morning, I had a bowl of oats with Lacto-free milk and Sainsbury's Basics Natural Yoghurt for my breakfast as well as a couple of tomato sandwiches at different times of the morning. I took my Lixisenatide Glucagon-Like Peptide Injection and Metformin and medications in my Bipolar.

Have a lovely day.

From,

Johnny Baker x X x.

Glad I have been of help @Hiitsme (not that I knew it when typing that post)
That's the great thing about this forum, there are no Nobel prize qualifying ground breaking discoveries, but hundreds upon hundreds of tiny nuggets that we can all collect from one another that we can use to improve our lot, no matter how small

I went to a local shop with 9yr old and he went very slow for me. We sat down 7 times but his patience is commendable, bless him. I enjoyed the sun on my face. Spring is coming! So much easier without stressy daddy and toddler. Shame I carnt leave them indoors all of the time. Ha ha
Yearning for the 6weeks holidays and then 10yr old can be my escort instead. They are on break soon anyway, then easter 2 weeks. I might have to utilise him. ;)

Feeling proper poorly. Spent most of the day in A&E. Rang 111 when I woke at 7am with agonising pain on my upper right side, unable to breathe and a temperature of 102. They sent blues and twos. Apparently I have raging pneumonia.
