I'm feeling upbeat now my feet and eyes are good. I need them as much as my heart. Our childhood families are over-rated, in my opinion. Mine live just a couple of miles away from me, yet they never make the effort to pick up the phone or drop in for a visit, and lately I'm asking myself why I bother to stay in touch with them. I learned from a non-family member, quite randomly, yesterday that I am due to be a Great Aunt in June - that was news to me!!
But don't worry Vicky - you have plenty of friends on here to ask how you're doing and to give you love and support. We care enough to ask how you are, and we are genuinely interested in your reply. We feel your pain, and celebrate your triumphs - and you will get more triumphs, hun. As @tina_marie says above, just give it time...
Hope you're feeling a bit better and happier today.
Big hugs xx
I'm proud of you, honey, and it's been a privilege to get to know you on the forum. You are a lovely, lovely lady xxThank you Debra sue the last three six monthly results since I found this forum and discovered lchf and IF were - 40, 41 and 41 respectively. Sometimes it's hard to keep away from the carbs but it's so worth it. I was diagnosed as t2 in June 2006 with a HbA1c of 96 and was on metformin for 9.5yrs until I found this forum and www.dietdoctor.com

I think the problem maybe two-fold
1. Too much protein, I eat at least 2lb of cheese a week, and can't put a 200g pack of peanuts down till they are all gone.
2. Not enough fluid. I drink 4 cups of coffee and a cup of red tea each day and 2 or 3 glasses of water. Don't think I can count the wine
When I had my bloods taken the Phlebotomist complained at how deflated my veins were, and asked how much water I had drunk that morning (this was 9 am). Well none yet, I have a japanese bladder - small but efficient!
Mrs W_F who was a Practice Nurse for years told me that dehydration might cause an elevated reading, and to get a retest, making sure I had drunk a load of water and no alcohol for the previous 24 hrs. (I had demolished a bottle the previous night)
But I don't want to 'clutch at straws'
Good Morning, my good, fine friends,
I haven't logged on in days! I'm back at my local library this morning, Friday 3rd February, 2017, at 11:04 Ante Meridian.
Had a good, but somewhat sleepless, night with Lee, my best friend, watching MTV and 4Music videos. My blood glucose was an excellent 5.1 Millimoles Per Litre! I've now cut all sweeteners and sugar out of my cups of tea and coffee. This morning, I had a bowl of oats with Lacto-free milk and Sainsbury's Basics Natural Yoghurt for my breakfast as well as a couple of tomato sandwiches at different times of the morning. I took my Lixisenatide Glucagon-Like Peptide Injection and Metformin and medications in my Bipolar.
Have a lovely day.
From,
Johnny Baker x X x.
