Type 2 Life

4.1 this morning a bit low for me. Let's hope my sugars stay stable today. No big swings from infection or steriods would be very nice.

@Alan_in_Suffolk_ re your bike ride reducing your BG levels by 6points, I control my type 2 with diet + exercise nowadays and a 40 min walk usually reduces my after breakfast reading by 1 - 1.5 points and an hours walk can reduce my BG by anything up to 3pts, that's from a high of 7.8 which is the highest my bloods ever go now. When I was diagnosed 10 years ago they were at 16! I think you can probably see a way for you to help keep the blood sugar down? p.s this is a good thread if you want to chat. (The other thread is supposed to be just for fasting blood glucose levels)

Hi many thanks for your post. It's a lovely sunny morning here in Suffolk we live right by the sea. So I off for a long bike ride along the sea front and keen to see if my Bg comes down even more. Thanks again take care.

We're just back from an exhilarating walk in our local woodland, crisp fresh snow and gorgeous scenery. Rural Scotland's not too bad either! Enjoy your bike ride :) @Alan_in_Suffolk_
P.S. blood down to 4.5 from fbg of 5.7 after walk
