Type 2 Life

@mo53 - Hello. What you been doing today? My broadband been playing silly devil most of the day. Partner says that I'm "over working it" on here!!

@Alzebra hope your home now and cosy. Look after yourself. What are they going to do about your blood pressure problem? Have you a consultant appointment for your heart to be checked etc. Something is messing you about. They need to investigate, thoroughly. Insist once your feeling more yourself. Shock can upset your system too. They'll most likely wait for the shock to settle down before accepting your true bp figures and bg ones too. Let us know how you get on. Get your partner on board to kick up a fuss if things continue. You might feel stronger with the extra support.
By the way, did they change your bp tablets?

I'm back from the hospital, where a very lovely surgeon reattached the piece of my ear! It may or may not be a long term solution but will at least act as a "biological bandage" in the meantime. Feeling so much better now that I've had a hefty dose of local anesthetic! Thanks to everyone for the support
Fantastic news Alzebra, now make sure you take it easy! Put your feet up and enjoy the anaesthetic :)

@mo53 Sorry to read you have a cold.:yuck: Drink plenty of fluids and hope you get better soon. Missed you last night on our word games:). @13lizanne - Anna have a fun time together with your Son :). I'm going to get ready, off to have my Bloods done then meeting my Sister & Hubby for lunch at 1pm. Will chat later on.

Hello everyone,

Hope you're all feeling good or better than you were.
Had my 1st eye check today, eyes still a bit blurry after the drops and flashes. Our daughter works with Diabetic Retinopathy but unfortunately she has been off work ill for quite a while so can't pop in to check my results early. Have I mentioned I'm impatient!!

Afternoon. FBG 6.0 so good. Still unwell and sleeping a lot, could easily go back to bed. Weather's taken a turn for the milder. :)

@13lizanne & @mo53 - Had bloods done, so whatever will be, will be??? Ate lunch at 1.30pm and not really used to eating a lot during the day, but I did have a 2 course meal: in M&S - Jacket Potato, Prawns in Marie Rose sauce and some salad, followed by Pear Cheesescake (pastry base, pears then cheesecake on top and a chocolate fondant topping) and a Latte. 3 hours later -just tested at 5p.m. and it was 7.7 so I am pleased with this. Won't have anything now until about 10pm. Another good experiment for research Anna & Mo!!:D

I did enjoy my birthday but alas no cake, been having issues keeping food down too. :)

Oh dear, but you are drinking plenty of fluids to keep hydrated? I've just had my Bloods done this morning to check my HBA1C. I've gone off the rails a bit and lost no more weight (or put any on) in the last month, just got 10lbs to lose and that's the 2 stone lost that was asked of me. But hoping my HBA1C is no more above 64 (as it was in November'15) I get told off at the Hospital Diabetic Clinic if no weight is shed. Do you find this?:)

Hi folks, hope everyone is well. @liam1955 hope you get the results you wanted, my mum's unhappy with the medical profession (yes all of them!) at the moment cos she had to have her HB redone. We're both hoping it turns out OK this time, she's been trying to reduce her carbs gradually to see if she can bring her numbers down a bit. She's worried he wants to increase her medication, and she's on a lot already!

Hi All

Its morning here in gods own country.
Interesting day for me HbA1c results in today my first since finishing the Newcastle Diet. And coincidentally Michael Mosley on the Tele tonight on a really good investigative program. They will have an audience full of Medical Professionals and Type 2 diabetics who also participate in the program.

You should be able to watch it online from tomorrow morning UK time

@eddie1968 I hope you're feeling better soon and can get a belated slice of birthday cake. Thanks to everyone for the virtual hugs and support, I'm feeling stronger today :) I saw a cardiologist a couple of weeks ago about my blood pressure and had just done a 24hr monitoring thing, I've also reduced my BP tablets again, they were all increased last year when my BP shot up. Just got to find the sweet spot I guess, just like all of you insulin jugglers!!!
