Type 2 Life

@doolallylady - I'm fine Thank You Karen. Went out after lunch to have another LFT blood test done for Thursday (hospital appointment) The test I had done last week was 'abnormal'? - so hospital sent another form in the post. Will find out on Thursday what my HBA1C is? Weighed myself today and I have not lost any weight OR put any on, but still got 10lbs to shed and it is being stubborn!! :)

Best of luck for Thursday William, my mum got her results this morning but I haven't spoken to her yet. I might pop in there tomorrow on my daily perambulation, the suspense is killing me!

I know what you mean about weight loss stalling, I only have half a stone left to lose and it's being a stubborn beggar! I've only lost 1 pound in the last month, but at least my BG is steadily going down which is the most important thing

I got great news at the plastic surgery clinic today, the reattached part of my ear is healing really well and looks to be a complete success so I won't need to face the prospect of another op and a skin graft from my neck! :joyful: It's very sore and extremely itchy but I think that's just evidence of healing so I'm happy to put up with it!

Great news @Alzebra really pleased for you. Just don't scratch it.

Morning. Not been on the forum for days. Beginning to feel better and starting to eat properly again. My mood has lifted too, prolonged illness can make you depressed and feel that I've turned a corner. Have a good day. FBG 6.9 mmol/l. :)

Well in that case you are definitely NOT well-upholstered, size16 is just right for your height - ooo poetry! You must be slim at that dress size for your height :)
I would say curvy rather than slim, I wear an E cup! I've lost over 2 inches from my waist since I started LCHF so my curves are much curvier now :)

Yay! Glad to see you back Eddie, you've been missed. Well done on turning that corner, you have a good day too. PS we're FBG twins today :)

Just a quick question regarding testing after eating.

When you're advised to test 1hr, 2hrs etc, is that from when you start eating or when you finish?

For what it's worth I usually count two hrs from when I start to clear my plates away ready to wash.

Hello @mo53 - It's been a long time since I went swimming! Swimming is a good Cardiovascular exercise and I read somewhere (?) that a person can burn up to 300 calories in 30minutes of doing the Breaststroke, so you must be FIT Mo!!:)

Hello @liam1955 myfitnesspal allows me 731 calories for an hours swimming. I wish I was fit! At one time I was swimming every day. I'd love to get back to that. I'm doing as much as I can at present. :)

@mo53 - Swimming increases heart rate and strengthens heart muscle and the lungs, gets the blood circulating all around the body and it is good for exercising joints, plus the burning up of calories. Just as a matter if interest, do you check your blood sugar before? And then after your swimming? Just to see what your result is? ;)
