You never banged on about exercise! Don't worry! If I had 2 good legs I'd be out running, swimming everythink, exercise is great for your health, I use my stationary bike. Have good evening

Well 5.6 this morning, pleased with that - a bit higher than usual normal, probably all those biscuits I ate with the cheese last night Long swim and gym yesterday - no wonder I feel a bit tired today, and have an 8am meeting with clients Weight down to 72.5kgs though, aim to stop weight loss at 70kgs as that will be 10kgs down from diagnosis.

What do you eat which is nibbleable? Me I have nuts, almond flour made pancakes and an occasional treat which with chocolate sauce isn't as damaging as custard or angel delight.

I swear by Morrison sugar free chocolate angel delight!! Its lovely!!

4.4 am, wondering when it is going to break and go back to my normal 5.2's.
Feeling like I might get locked into my current routine of veggie breakfast, veggie lunch and some meat/fish for dinner. Two good walks yesterday, one at lunchtime at work, which is not always easy to fit in as meeting/lab work can be demanding.
Off swimming with son this morning if I get some chores done first.

6.6 at 6.45 am. Had a Chinese young chow fried rice at midnight with curry sauce. Meeting didn't finish until 2am. I'd even walked the dog briskly for 45 mins before testing.

Question/survey on blood taking:
I've read the threads in the forum and am interested to know from the folk on this thread how and where they take their blood from.
I test three times a day, am, pre and post evening meal.
I use my middle fingers and the two on the outside.
I find the sides of my fingers need a deeper penetration setting and tend to more painful and for longer than my finger tips...
I can't make up my mind if one finger tip is becoming bruised...
I'm right handed so probably test my left hand more often than my right.

@amgrundy have you tried Accupuncture?

I have sufferd from a Frozen shoulder twice And each time the only thing that touched it was a physio that incorporated Accupuncture.

I went into my Dutch physio with about 5% mobility in my arm And Walker out after a 20 minute Accupuncture session And some physio with about 40% three sessions later I was done.

Last physio I saw was in the UK on the NHS And he incorporated Accupuncture with his physio so it is worth asking GP for a referral.

Good luck Frozen shoulder pain is hell x

6.5 this morning so happy.

I did a 24 hour fast yesterday, did not intend to but came home after Pilates & a swim and after a cup of tea wasn't hungry so just let it go. Broke fast at 20:00 with some griddled lamb steaks and a greek salad.

My figs yesterday were; 6.7 on waking, then 5.7, 5.0, 5.3 before Dinner And 5.4 two hours afterwards.

Daily average 5.6.

Happy with that.

5.1 this morning. Really happy with that as I'm trying to do a lot more experimenting with different foods. Yesterday I tried 2 plums with lunch. 5.3 before, 6.9 at 1 and a half hours, 7.3 at 2 hours and 5.6 at 2 and a half hours. One plum had been fine but I think 2 plums was at or just above my limit so I am learning. I'm often down to lower than my pre meal after 2 hours. Last night 5.1 before evening meal and 4.5 after 2 hours.

I know Chlorakas - some of our Cypriot friends took us there once for dinner at a gorgeous and VERY rustic place! Small world... I'm not one for beach holidays other. We liked to drive around and discover new places and new people. And all the Cypriots we met were wonderful people - very friendly and welcoming.

I lived in Cyprus for 5 years fantastic place and a wonderful lifestyle. I threw in my busy NHS job when I hit 40 and took a job as a Riding Instructor and trail guide for a riding centre in a small village just outside Limmassol. I was riding for up to 6 hours a day, was super fit and healthy. I met my now Husband there and moved to Amsterdam to be with him....Bit of a culture shock to say the least

Did you ever go on a Sunday? It was our favourite time to go, because it seemed to be almost all locals and their whole extended families, jabbering away at top volume in Greek - great atmosphere. And didn't you just love old Gramps, who took care of the bbq.....?
Wonderful place... We used to go twice a year with our grown-up kids and we all have some wonderful memories of long, laughter-filled lunches, gazing out across the fruit trees at the Med, sparkling in the sun. --sigh--

Just to say. 5.7 fasting this morning, had my crackers & cheese last night. And yet yesterday's was 6.9 fasting, but never had crackers & cheese the night before. I hope the others who have tried this also have good fastings today. Let me know?

Interesting question. I test maybe 7 times a day. I find the blood on my left hand just flows out, sometimes on my right hand though I don't get enough to register - then waste a strip and get annoyed. Really can't understand it - maybe the skin is thicker on my right hand (maybe that is nonsense ). I often end up using the same hand, and I guess you should really vary?

Hi. It's so easy, use pressure cooker for 10mins or cook in pan but takes longer, fry an onion and seal your meat in same oil, gives great taste, stick chunks meat in with some curry powder, cumin, pepper if you wish, some tomato puree for taste, when meats cooked stick index finger sized celery sticks and chopped mint in till the juice has thickened a little. Done. Enjoy

I must admit I'm very unhappy. I WAS enjoying posters on fbg. I feel like my arm has been chopped off. Maybe that was the intention.
Partner thinks I should close my account down. I was so enjoying everyone's input. It felt a happy place. Newies felt comfortable posting even high fbg/bgs. A human thread not just a posters avatar and a number.
It's very sad!
I thought I belonged.

Hi, @amgrundy - I can totally empathise with you on this one. I persuaded my GP to send me for an X-ray and when the results came back he said, "You have osteoarthritis in your shoulder - take paracetamol." (A recent study has now shown that actually paracetamol has no effect on arthritis pain.) Two years on, I'm using anti-inflammatories and Ibuleve gel, which at least means I can stay fairly mobile during the day, if not pain-free. Big hugs x

Hiya! I tried the crackers & cheese (2 Nairns gluten-free oat crackers, butter & Cheddar cheese) at 11.30 last night, but didn't really see any change in my fasting BG this morning (Sat: 5.6; Sun: 5.5; Mon: 5.0; Today: 5.7). Maybe I need to try it for a little longer...?
I thoroughly enjoyed the crackers, though!

We used to go every year to stay in a villa in the hills just outside Coral Bay, near Paphos. It was idyllic. I really miss it.....

Does your 'Agree' rating mean you know Cyprus too, @ickihun ? I'm amazed at the number of people on the forum who do!
