Type 2 Life

Oh! Sorry to hear that you still feel "fluey" @Diamum5972 hope that you feel better soon x
Isn't it strange that people, who know that we are diabetic, still offer us foods that are "off the menu" it is difficult when it's the in-laws @liam1955 isn't it, we can't be quite as direct with them. I'm very lucky that my family understand
Mine understand but don't want to change with me. Hence I'm on my own, except for you guys. ♡♥♡

I have a friend like that too, Maureen. She drives me crazy at times, but I just smile and nod, and say nothing. It would be a complete waste of time to try and educate her. Besides, she doesn't even pause to take a breath, so I wouldn't be able to get a word in edgeways anyway!

My friend knows I love her millionaire's shortbread.....I usually cut it small and put it in the freezer but pig out on a big piece before I freeze the rest
Other cakes I pass onto or save for grandkids. I accidentally found out her sticky ginger is yummy whilst still frozen

Well, I haven't been for any long walks this morning, but I have looked after the two Tiny Terrorists while their mum went shopping, which is the equivalent of a 10-mile hike! Now I have to work this afternoon so I'll be chained to my keyboard for the next 5 hours. :(

No, really, don't worry about me - I'm sure I'll be fine! You all just go and enjoy the sunshine...:grumpy:
What sunshine?

Is that what it was? LOL - I thought someone was strangling a cat in the garden...
I'm skiving now as my Inbox is empty for a while, so I thought I'd catch up on what all you layabouts are up to!
Yes, thanks, Karen - the girls are the sunshine in my life, and we do have great fun. They love being outdoors, as I do, and there's always something interesting to find in the garden, like a newt hiding under a log, or some frantic woodlice under the flowerpots. And then there's the baking, and the glue & glitter painting, and making up songs and stories... Hours of fun!
:)

Think I will stay in tonight and rest. I have a hot water bottle on my back as it hurts a bit on bending. GP said I have pulled some muscles. Going to use my TENS machine later. :)

It's getting easier to get on forum, only few times attempting to rejoin, but I'm sick of typing in my email address, I use my I-phone, I get same people phoning me continually trying to scam me for months now, almost slipped one day when just had eyes done, kept saying they were from phone company & need to access my laptop, I won't repeat my response , phone is easier. I just don't seem to be able to stay logged in!!! @ Cumberland hope you enjoy your Italian meal have a great time, congratulations. afraid I'm off Italians had enough stress with one recently, I Don't t know if I'm seeing daughter this weekend as she's off for meal somewhere special & next weekend she's of to Dublin with her partner, he's lovely, they make a great couple. Anyway to everyone have a great time till we speak agsin, (Soon if I can get back on) ha ha. God this is a long txt have been rambling on a bit sorry!!!!!!

You have a huge treat in store whenever they decide to make you a grandma! It's so much more fun than being a mum, because it's more or less expected that you're going to spoil them rotten, and you have a lot more time to do stuff with them than you ever had when your own children were small.
And often more money to spare for treats.....

Wilkinson do their own heat pads 2 for £1. They are good, I have disc problems in my back & cervical spondalitiss in my neck & they really help, stay warm longer than exspensive ones, hope you feel better soon. Keep a roast potatoes for me

Taking Yvonne out tonight, just reviewing menus on line to see which restaurants will provide sufficient choice on my strict new regime.

Hope you find some that do. Our fave place will replace spuds for salad etc

We're having scampi chips and salad for tea when Mrs Cumbs gets in at 8

It is my first proper meal in just over a week as I have lost my appetite and I'm actually feeling hungry and a bit more human today

Got to do a food shop too so a run into Carlisle to visit Tesco is on the cards

Taking the car for a service tomorrow at 8.30am

Weather has been cooler today and the sun has not been so dazzly as previously in fact it's never shone at all today
