Type 2 Life

I will! I have to confess I bailed on the running, so that was the safest option...haha.

I've got my gear ready so I can do it tomorrow morning first thing without disturbing Yvonne from her beauty sleep. :)

I'll probably be When you are running too

Oh @PenfoldAPD it gets right up my nose. So petty.
I guess they get everywhere. Do what i do and play petty too and leave them a :lock:. We appreciate you. ;)
I hope your day gets better. Just think of your next camping trip. Lidl are offring some good camping accessories starting thursday. :)
I've got the folding table. Quite good but I had to fight it a bit to take it apart again. Pity it's in so many pieces but they do tuck away nicely in its bag. Going to get the beach shelters for grandkids.

@Aamena1980. Might not just be the oatibix, could also be your milk. If it was "real" milk try unsweetened almond or soya milk
I'm reading backwards so haven't seen your original post yet but presume you used sweetener and not sugar

Hi Sable_Jan, yep used sweetener. But had no clue about cows milk... Really?

Good evening ladies and gents

Tiring first day at work

I am goosed totally

Chicken, Potatoes and Mixed Veg for tea

Hope you are all keeping well
Hi, Ian. I guess it means something different in your neck of the woods, but here "da'hn sa'rf", if you say you've been goosed, it means someone has uninvited grabbed your important little places. On that basis, I guess you've had a pretty good first day at work! :joyful:

Lactose in it is a sugar. Can't recall offhand how many carbs (I'm outside with the dogs) and I believe skimmed is higher carb than full fat.
Re fats, use olive oil or olive oil spreads if you're worried about cholesterol so you can have a fry up. Watch out for carbs in sausages tho. Frittata is a tasty way of having low carb meals with limitless variations. Basically any low carb stuff fried, beaten eggs poured over and left to set. Top with grated cheese now I flip mine in the pan but recipe say to grill. My first was green veggies and mixed herbs. Do them with bacon mushrooms and tomatoes too.

@KevinPotts you are welcome to have your morning run up to Cumbria and do a spot of gardening if you like

KFC treat all you can eat if you do lol

Just back from seeing dietician at the hospital. Seems I am doing everything right and she was so supportive. I did use the phrase restricting carbs but gave her a complete day's food with quantities including carbs. Talked about some of the research going on and she thinks things will change. Seems I got sent there as my BMI is towards the low end of normal and I had very low trigs (0.49) but she agreed that was probably because of how much walking I'm doing. Told to keep doing what I'm doing.

@debrasue, just checked my post breakfast BG and its rocketed to 12.6! Guess the oatabix is a def no for me!! Will have to rethink breakfast options big time!

Hi @Aamena1980
I had to stop having Weetabix when diagnosed as that rocketed by readings even higher than yours. I now have scrambled eggs and mushrooms or full fried breakfast. Using a meter shows what your body can cope with. You will get there but I know how hard it can be. Plenty of help on here.

Put 5 words after my FBG post this morning and told off. Clearly I don't know the rules around here so think probably easier if I just wander off .. have enough on my plate already :(

Hi @PenfoldAPD
Perhaps if we all posted fasting readings on this thread instead then we could comment and help each other. I don't understand why no help is allowed on that particular thread but other threads we are encouraged to respond with helpful suggestions. When I first joined that was the thread I asked my questions and people helped me. Please we do want you to stay around.

@Hitsme

Glad you are doing ok and that the dietician is supporting you

@Aamena1980
It does take a bit time to get things sorted I wish you the very best keep nagging the health care team

Like the clairvoyants notice outside premises...closed due to unexpected circumstances......a mystery tour...could be arranged

Good evening ☺

I had a doctor's appointment today and my blood pressure medication not as effective so he has changed it. Can't keep up with all of these changes lol there's always something. Got to go back in a months time for blood pressure check and then next HBA1C in 6 weeks, first week in July. As well as the eye hospital and cardiology appointent, both within the first week in Junew. I feel that I'm never away from doctors/hospitals with all the appointments aaahhhh well as the thread says that's type 2 life.
