Type 2 Life

My DN said she wishes all her patients had my excellent bgs. Yipee! :)
I'm to continue as i am as my next hba1c may be lower but my maintainance is excellent.
Liver function excellent. No sign of fatty liver any more. Metformin agreeing with me and my liver.
All thanks to you guys.
Low Carbing Rocks!
Thank you, thank you. Thank you. :) :) :) ♡♥♡

@ickihun - Well Done Vicky, you never said what your HBA1C was? No doubt being a Happy Bunny it slipped your mind!:)
She was referring to my last hba1c of 61 but my meter readings are lower than last portion of data so fingers crossed, it will be lower. 61 was on canagliflozin hun. (Lows then horrific highs on stopping it.) 56 before that. I can live with 50s. Do'able and a happy content diabetic life.
I've been offered bariatric surgery again. To gain my lighter figure drastically. I'm giving myself a year to lose weight, in the slow way first. No added weight today but my 4lb loss didnt register either as on my monthlies. :(

@JohnEGreen - That rash on your arm is it Psoriasis by any chance? William:)
Although Psoriasis does run in my family and I do have a mild form of it not on arms the rash according to my GP is a result of preds thinning the skin and weakening my blood vessels causing bruises which are somewhat painful especially when they break and bleed if knocked.

@4ratbags
Hi, am I right in remembering you had a BP / Blackout event sometime back?
If not, sorry for my memory.
If so, did you get any numbers that might have given some clue as to what was going on.
The reason I ask is that my recent BPs have been lower than normal 100/60 and sometimes I wonder about my conscious..
I hope you and your grandchildren are keeping well.
Hj

@JohnEGreen - Interesting! That's probably why when taking Steriods I was finding bruises. I too have Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis each month I have a Biological Injection which is for both the Psoriasis and Arthritis = but it is not working as good as thought it would. I am seeing the Rheumatologist tomorrow to see what the next treatment is going to be? The Prednisolone did nothing for Psoriasis or Arthritis? William:)

My daughter's Dermatologist is very loathe to prescribe Preds she told Melody that she has seen patients skin tear when on them. Melody starts light treatment next week for her Nodular Prurigo and HS.

Hello all, I had real problems logging on this morning - has anyone else had problems?

Interesting... I've had to take a couple of extended courses of prednisolone in the past and noticed some pretty dramatic bruising cropping up all over the place which was very similar to the bruises you experienced on your arm. I didn't connect the two things at the time, but now I'm beginning to wonder... It does seem to be quite an aggressive drug.

Well, it's not ALL "thanks to you guys" - you have put in an incredible amount of hard work too and I think you should take some credit for that! x

I just want to apologise now. I won't be on-line much (still). Kids stuck in this afternoon due to our rain has just started. Dvds and games it is. Garden is definitely off limits today.
We've had some fantastic days out. Garden days too. Picnics and football training in our huge side garden. He he.
Little one is having his nap so grabbed a few hours here.
Watching CREED for the second time. This time courtesy of netflix. Who jumped in the DD queue. Ha ha
Last month I started a DD to diabetes uk. I got a wrist band for doing so. I'm still waiting for this sites one. I've been a member for over a year. Has everyone else got theirs?
I'm happy with the one I have thou. Apparently they do a raffle every week too. There support group in in North Sunderland and a bit of a trip for me as I'm near the rural belt of sunderland and durham. (South).
Maybe I should start one more nearer home. I'll ask those running it in North Sunderland to see if worth doing.
Toddler in nursery next month so I want to be out and about more, by myself.
I need something for me only.
Starting toddlers swimming lessons too. I teach the boys myself. 9yr old swims under water and can poolside dive.
I'll pop into type 2 life and pick up my messages regularly thou.
I cannot miss you guys. Such lovely support here. I'm luckily to have you as forum chums. :) :) :)

Good afternoon, my friends,

My fbg was 6.6 mmol at sevenish this morning. Have a nice day, all.
Hi, Johnny! It's good to hear from you, and to see that you're still fighting the good fight with those BGs. I hope your friends are all still supporting you, and that you will soon get your WiFi back on at home.
Hugs x

Your a wonderful person and a great help and support to so many of us.

Morning. Been busy. FBG 8.5 mmol/l and had a terrible day yesterday after a 19.2 mmol/l at 3pm. Slept 12 hours from 6pm last night and feel better. Sun's out after yesterday's wash out. Insulin time :)

Good Morning, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk "Type 2 Life" Forum,

The Tate South Lambeth Public Library near to my flat is open at 9:00 Ante Meridian so I'm able to use the Internet due to my Sky Broadband still being terminated at my home.

My Care Coordinator rang me a few days ago and when I was speaking to her I happened to quote my ADHD susceptibility like I do online. She said I was foolishly mistaken. She said as well as having a bona fide Asperger Syndrome diagnosis, I also, from my Consultant Psychiatrist at the Map Team, have a legitimate diagnosis of Bipolar Affective Disorder, a mental illness with rapid cycling mood swings, flight of ideas, poor monetary sense, delusions of grandeur (when hypomanic), and delusions of persecutory ideation (when in the depression downswing). This explains so much about my monetary vulnerabilities and my struggles to manage my Type II Diabetes Mellitus as well as my difficulties that I experience with letting seemingly untoward "oddball" or "diffident" friends to my home to, as my Care Coordinator, take financial advantage of me.

The Bipolar disorder sufferers are very amicable, friendly but a bit hypersensitive and gullibly naïve, hence my recent "Sky" problem which transpired after I let a very manipulative, financially advantageous friend into my flat to abuse my landline telephone by calling her family in Greece on various mobile telephones. Some of the naivety could be attributed to my Asperger Syndrome too of which I am moderate to severe.

I didn't eat as much as usual yesterday but a something to prevent hypoglycaemias in the form of a Roast Chicken Dinner Ready Meal and a couple of Marmite sandwiches.

My blood glucose readings this morning at approximately 7:30 Ante Meridian after two mugs of coffee with Coffeemate and 2 sugars each and then 5.2 mmol at approximately 8:30 Ante Meridian.

Have a lovely day, my friends. It's a bit cooler here in Stockwell, London than it has been, but I am sure it will warm up soon. There has been light, unclement drizzle but nothing major and the blue of the sky is trying to blow all the rainclouds away making it the start of a lovely August weekend.

Much love and Best Wishes
