Hi ickihun has you can see I am trying to understand where I can post different things and we do get carried away in the mornings usually when we put our fasting bloods online.Liam1955 has tried to give me info on what to post where but I have explained age is not the best time for info retention, especially has I've always struggled to remember new tasks unless I repeatedly do something it doesn't stick. The type 2 life it was a fluke I got on it I put it in the search box and it came on,but how do I get onto it.So apart from BG fasting readings in the morning where else can I ask or answer somebody's questions or threads ?where are threads sorry but if I had an explanation on line I could save it and hopefully it would help. Thanks to everyone for there patients,I don't mean to be a little curt but it's cause half the time I done know what I've done wrong. K

These videos should help you decide where to post @Granny_grump.

Thanks @Diamum5972 . I hope your nasty cold has gone. I saw you had a bad day the other day. I wish you well and some wonderful spring days on its way. :)
Thanks Vicky, this cold seems never ending! I'm just glad that A has escaped the worst of it, he's been going to his work experience for 2 weeks now. I'm glad he doesn't start till 10am though, gives us plenty of time to get ready! I'd forgotten what a swine he is to get out of bed in the morning :)

Oh that would be flipping fantastic :), I think Vicky @ickihun was talking about a meet up in March ? - Am I correct in this Vicky?
I'd like to start the ball rolling on this - arrangements need to be made :) We're travelling up on Thursday 9th but won't get to Edinburgh till the evening. I'm busy on the Friday afternoon so the best time for me is Saturday 11th. Our train doesn't leave till 4.50 so we have all day to meet up :)

I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
Hi and a very good morning to all my friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type 2 life forum from PC No 4 at Tate South Lambeth \Public Library,

I am now 8 days quit from cigarettes! And my eating, weight and blood glucose readings are all well-controlled, too. Yesterday I ate a Tongue Roll, Beefburger Roll and several fishcake sandwiches. My blood glucose reading in the early hours of the morning was 5.4 Millimoles Per Litre.

@Diamum5972 i cannot make this meet up but im sure I'll be more dandy for the next one. Its been a bad few months for me. If anything changes before then then I'll endeavour to meet you.
Is @13lizanne and/or @eddie1968 meeting you that day?
London and Kent members meet up regularly, i dont see why we shouldnt. On-line safety deems you take someone with you to meet strangers. I have no problem with add-ons. The more the merrier?

Dn appointment went well. Spreading insulin injs more throughout the day to give better coverage. Less highs and lows, finger crossed.
We discussed r-ala and I said I'm tempted to use again to reduce units of mixed insulin. After heart investigations. She said its common for heart problems if sugar is high but not due to high doses of insulin. Hense I've agreed to keep insulin in my maintenance until too many lows on low doses.
I told her about Asthma diagnosis this week. I told her how sad its made me :(
A brilliant dn, I'm so lucky to have her. Awaiting specialist/endocrologist appointment now!
Noted same weight as early november before heart problems and xmas carbs. Very happy with that.

Hi @gunner10 .
A liver block to me is a supper or breakfast which is only eaten to block the glucose being released from the liver, other organs and muscles at times where your body thinks your fasting.
Google 'dawn phenomenon'. A nibble on cheese or nuts or something low carb to con the liver into thinking your not fasting through the night.
For myself I tested my liver enzymes at the same time and my liver performed better doing liver blocks. In fact I got rid of fatty liver on lchf diet but I didn't add fat into my diet and struggled introducing veg. Low carb benefits the liver, well my liver. It may help you too.
I also use a block instead of a breakfast if I'm in a hurray. When I remember. Mornings are my busiest times with 2 young kids.
Let me know if you tweeks things and get rid of the increased bgs on rising. It works for some but not for others. Maybe worth a try thou.

@Granny_grump_ - Morning K :), Go to the top left hand of this page to the word FORUMS - click on it and it will take you to the main index list and just scroll down and click on any that take your fancy.
Next time you are out with your Sister having a creamed scone - just have a 'scraping' of jam and loads of cream on the scone 'OR' just have Butter and Cream and then Test 2 hours later and see what effect it has on your blood sugar.
Remember - to drink plenty of water. The more water you drink the better, it helps to flush out your system and also stabilize glucose (sugar) in the Bloodstream.
Enjoy whatever you are doing today. - William:)

Hi and a very good evening to all my lovely friends,

Had a lovely birthday yesterday Sunday 12/02/17 and Lee cooked a beef brisket joint, roast potatoes, cauliflower and sprouts out of my ingredients my Carer got on Thursday. From Lily and Gary I got 1 pair of jogging bottoms and a top, from Steve and Mary I got a pair of slippers, from my elderly Dad I got £15.00, and from Graham and Kathryn a set of 4 mugs for my flat. As well as that I got lots of cards. Lee kept my company so that I wouldn't get lonely on my birthday.

I'm now 6 days quit from cigarettes and am using patches and mouth sprays.

My blood sugar today was 5.2 millimoles per litre.

Thank you all very much for your lovely birthday greetings and well wishes. I love you all very much indeed.

Johnny Baker.

No but used to visit York frequently love it,on our first ever visit we parked on car park near river and it burst it's banks and flooded my car, half way up the doors,a policeman was waiting for me to return and helped me push it out. That's my luck never been very lucky, but upto now I'm fairly healthy trying to get back a little of the fitness I had 4/5 years ago got a great husband fab dogs questionable kids all busy with there lives but that's how it should be just fit me in occasionally. We would love to visit York again just say when and where and my sister and I would see if we could make it. I'm away for weekend around Easter and in Spain for two weeks in May last two weeks, but rest of year to arrange something I will leave it upto you. Best wishes Kathleen

Hello, there my dear friends,

I'm back at my local library using the Internet on Public Computer Number 10 briefly this early afternoon.

I'm happy to share that I'm 9 days, that's 1 week and 2 days, quit from cigarettes. I also had a good blood glucose reading a few minutes ago of 5.4 millimoles per litre. I've also made out a good grocery shopping inventory and budget plan for the attention of my Carer who assists me with my diabetes and Asperger Syndrome.

I feel really happy today and I'm in my element using the computer to check my favourite email accounts and forums and social media sites.

Lots of love to you all,

From,

Johnny Baker.

@Granny_grump_ - Well, Hi Kathleen :) (I thought you might be a Kathleen!). Yes, Walnuts are good - I eat them also and Pecans too. But not any salted nuts as they ''burn" my mouth!!
In fact raw nuts like: Almonds, Pecans, Walnuts, Cashews are great for lowering and controlling Blood Sugars. And if you don't feel like having a meal - eat a handful of nuts.
9 lbs weight loss since January is good and it's a start. It's better to loose weight slowly about 3 - 4 lbs a week. We have a thread called: Weigh-In and most people post their weight on a Friday (but you can post it anytime) I will tag you on it tomorrow morning and you can put on it what you have lost since January.
Have you thought about the LCHF Diet (Low Carb High Fat) a lot of Forum Members follow this diet, there has been some fantastic results. It helps to lower your Blood Sugars, HBA1C and loose weight too. Click on the links below to have a read about it.

As a suggestion - it may be a good idea to have a notebook to hand, so you could write down things. There's a lot to learn - but, it's best to take one day at a time. You have a Blood Glucose test meter and that is the most important piece of a Diabetics equipment. William:happy:
