Type 2 Life

Is fasting an option, Vicky? Really helped for me - usually only have one meal a day these days and both BG and weight are doing fine.
Dietician has always wanted 3 meals for op to go ahead. After op no fasting is advised. I already have to supplement iron and vitamins and minerals, also vitC. I cannot run the risk of an infection due to poor eating pre-op.
I'd prefer to be on top form in readiness for op. That's how it is, for my body. Trust me to be different. Ha ha

Do you have a date for your op yet, Ickihun? Is there much of a waiting list?

I've received a note to say I'm ready for op, just have to get 3kgs off. So GP nurse is allowing me access to their scales and once I'm 133.00kg or less I'll call bariatric team. I'm guessing I'll see nurse to start liver shrinking diet 2wks before given date. So not long now.

I'm so stressed with uniform needs for senior school. Sunderland isn't the best for available stock. I just cannot manage metrocentre walking after all. So on-line next day delivery if no affordable football boots and accessories.
Looks like customers are paying for one big sports shops relocation to the high street humf and his football club. ;)
Little one has his uniform sorted easily as school has relaxed logoed t-shirts. So easier to buy. His clark school shoes with footballs on are all ready for Monday. :) :) :)
Tuesday and Wednesday is filled with picking older one up and refresher for getting home with friends, thereafter.
This week has been sooo stressful and filled with demands from everyone. Poor surgeon had no chance. I was determined to turn up and commit what time I had.
I can concentrate on me next week. In full. Yipee!
I'm very much looking forward to it. :) :) :)

All football/rugby boot kitted out with shin pads. Yipee!
What a job. Nearly all UK 11 sizes gone. Luckily ones he liked were in sale.
Logo'd rugby shirt still not in stock nor school jumper. We will have to manage.

Ironing 5 shirts tomorrow for the wardrobe. Sooo proud of my older son. My phone will be filled with uniform pics. Not for social media thou.
Will try and get one of both boys but their getting ready for school times is sooo different now. Big changes to the household.
:) :) :)

I had some concerning news, @ickihun, my dear, sweet friend. My lovely Dad who is an insulin-dependent type 2 diabetic with cardiovascular disease, is in the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead with low haemoglobin and is very weak and tired all the time. He had to have a lot of blood. He has told me that the doctors/nurses have told him, it's not life-threatening, although his age of 87 might make him less resilient and able to respond to treatment. My Dad's also in a lot of pain with osteoarthritis and hip erosion. I've been praying like mad for him as my mum and sister have already gone and it would break my heart to lose him as well. But I'm staying positive for him and putting my trust in Jesus.

Wishing your dad a speedy recovery. X

Thinking of you @JohnnyBaker12021970 :)
If your dad said it's not life threatening he must be OK. I'm glad they are looking after him. And they will.
We must chat soon about your mum and sister. I bet they were great company for you? I'm sure they are guiding you.
Dad won't live forever, as you know but he sounds positive, which always helps.
Hugs galore and stay in touch. Any swimming lately?

I know my Dad sounded optimistic, which is a good sign, @ickihun, my lovely friend. No, I haven't done any swimming lately, regrettably. I've been feeling generally very unwell recently with "tired" and "weak" legs, bloated tummy that aches, muscular tension and severe nausea. Maybe it is the aftershock of Max's abuse towards myself making my stress levels high. I've also been getting terrible anxiety attacks equated with dizziness and palpitations and sweating. Anxiety can affect people with Asperger Syndrome. Matthew hasn't been round to see me in my current flat, but that's probably a sigh of relief, as, like Max, he made sarky comments about how my parents brought me up and emotionally abused me a bit. I'll be so happy when Rachel and her manager called Janine come round to my flat on the 18th with my care coordinator from my new Croydon 24-hour-care supported housing establishment. I'm not doing very well at the moment, @ickihun.

I thought you were quiet. :(

When do they confirm Croydon for you?

i saw the lady indian doctor about my unwellness and feeling really rough yesterday and she diagnosed viral gastroenteritis and postular hypotension and dehydration, the hypotension being caused by the amount of antihypertensive tablets i take making my blood pressure drop significantly and suddenly making me feel light headed and faint. she's also aware of my poor glycaemic control in my insulin-resistant type 2 diabetes mellitus and the difficulty i've had with keeping a good diet and getting exercise. she's advised me, being aware of me not opening my bowels enough or emptying my bladder to omit my amlodipine, doxazosin and metformin until the viral gastroenteritis has cleared up and my blood pressure has been resolved. the omitted medications have to go up until this monday coming when i see the doctor again to discuss the blood test results that she requested upon giving me a blood test form.

nothing's been confirmed about my croydon accommodation, my dear friend, @ickihun, but i'm hoping i can move very soon.

Get well soon @JohnnyBaker12021970 .

Home with very very sore feet. Having to nurse them before I can do more. Supervised dinner in huge pain.

Back out at 0715 tomorrow for more walking. Painkillers are working off and on. Scatica is back with a vengeance. :(
Painkillers every 4hrs.

Your twin has also been in alot of pain. He didn't get much sleep (only an hour ). He's on Tramadol as and when he needs it now. Although Ron is only taking it if he really needs it .

Poor Ron. :(
Give him hugs from me. He's like me, the pain is what's depressing. Painkillers only do so much.
My MSK man wants me to try incline without crutch. I'm going to have to wait for a quiet day to try it. As if now I'd collapse. I feel like I'm going to collapse, on occasion already.
My feet and ankles were paining me really badly so I lay in bed to elevate them, once comfortable I slept. I've woke much more comfortable. No sketchers today. Back to old faithful trainers. New socks still thou. I couldn't afford my usual bridgedale socks so maybe normal socks causing trouble?
I'll pull out a pair of bridgedales for over a mile walk this morning and same this afternoon. I haven't had any complaining garden wall owners yet. I'm expecting one day for someone to moan. Fingers crossed, so far so good.

He had no sleep last night , so he's had a nap this afternoon. He can't get comfortable. Does anyone know of anything that would help with hip discomfort when sitting . I've offered him cushions but he says that wouldn't help.

A memory foam seat cushion? I know my mum and uncle used to elevate the seat they favoured so they were positioned correctly. Some astride their legs to get more relief.
Mum and uncle now have titanium replacements.
