Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Monday:

B: Two poached eggs topped with a pat of butter, avocado and four tiger prawns, with a good grinding of black pepper.
Water to swallow tablet.
Espresso.

L: Blue cheese stir-fry using pointed cabbage, Blue Stilton, chestnut mushrooms, leeks, thyme, double cream, white wine vinegar, sprinkled with chopped, flat-leaf parsley.
Steamed French beans and carrot batons.
Water to drink.

D: Seafood salad made with crab, brown shrimps, lettuce, apple peel, celery, baby plum tomatoes and mustard cress with a dollop of home-made aioli for dipping, topped with flat-leaf parsley and toasted almonds.
Water to wash down tablets.

Almonds, hazelnuts and brazils.

Mid-afternoon: black filter coffee

D: Smoked salmon and cream cheese salad using lettuce, celery, baby plum tomatoes, Halkidiki and Nocellara olives, garlic, salad onions and Romano peppers, dressed with olive oil, lemon verbena and a touch of lemon juice, topped with pecan halves.

Saturday:

B: Two poached eggs and two scallops topped with a pat of butter and chopped, flat-leaf parsley, asparagus spears smothered with butter, all seasoned with a good grinding of black pepper.

L: Aperitif: dry white wine
Tuna steaks rolled in finely chopped celery and sage, baked with sweet red peppers and aubergines, moistened with double cream and topped with extra mature Cheddar cheese.
Steamed calabrese and French beans with a knob of butter.
Water to drink.
Skipped pud.
Two squares, Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% chocolate.

D: Seafood salad made with king prawns and brown shrimps, avocado, vine tomatoes, basil, salad onions and Kalamata olives with home-made aioli for dipping and topped with roasted macadamia nuts.

Remembrance Sunday:

B: Two eggs scrambled in butter with a generous dollop of double cream, sautéed chestnut mushrooms and a vine tomato, all seasoned with a good grinding of black pepper.

Sea bass baked en papillote, belly stuffed with sprigs of French tarragon and garlic, drizzled with olive oil.

Two squares, Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% cocoa chocolate.

D: Seafood salad made with tiger prawns, crab, rocket, vine tomatoes, celery, sweet yellow peppers and salad onions dressed with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice, flat-leaf parsley and garlic, toasted almonds.

D Seafood salad using tiger prawns, brown shrimps, lettuce, baby plum tomatoes, celery, Romano peppers, cucumber, Halkidiki olives, salad onions and mustard cress, dressed with an olive oil, balsamic and garlic vinaigrette, topped with roasted macadamia nuts.

Wednesday:

Roast cauliflower with Egyptian duqqah using toasted milled almonds. hazelnuts, pistachios. sesame, fennel, cumin and coriander seeds.

Salad using cucumber, rocket, salad onions, frozen raspberries, strawberry halves and mint, dressed with olive oil, garlic, a touch of lemon juice and topped with toasted sesame seeds.
Water to drink.

D: Seafood salad made with brown shrimps and mussels, lettuce, Romano peppers, celery, cherry tomatoes, basil, Nocellara olives and salad onions, dressed with an olive oil, balsamic and garlic vinaigrette, topped with pistachios.
