Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Happy New Year!

Back at work now, and feeling positive today. I had overnight oats for breakfast, clementine at break with black tea, poached salmon salad with light mayo and a small beetroot for lunch, savoury turkey mince with cauliflower and parsnips for tea. SF jelly with no added sugar custard (just a tablespoon) for dessert. Coffee with a squirt of squirty cream for afters.

Edited to add: 4 squares dark chocologic no added sugar chocolate

L: ham, mustard, coffee n cream

D: bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese and cheese, broccoli and cauliflour with cheese sauce

S: peanuts, LC cheesecake

D Chilli, boiled potatoes, salad, 4 squares hazelnut chocolate

Went astray yesterday eve after late (for me) meeting at work... McDs on the way home! Otherwise good but feeling very hungry.

Today a little astray at the end too:

little gem lettuce with 3 eggs and light mayo
SF jelly and no added sugar custard
savoury turkey mince and parsnips with sprouts
half glass red wine
4 slices (I know!!) rye toast with butter and 3-nut butter
3 cups skinny cappuccino (nestle sachets) through the day

Want more, but trying to stop there.
 
Last night was a fun night - I made a sterling little prawn cocktail with homemade marie rose sauce, avacdo and some succulent prawns, followed by pan-fired sea-bass with roasted butternut squash, aubergine and tomatoes... simply gorgeous. Glass or two of white to help. Just had a thought, I might try if with some almonds, nest time.

Breakfast today was some rye toast and butter - oodles of coffee. Snacking on an apple and some walnuts.

Lunch today will be a fish from the chippy down the road - they are SO nice. Not good for me, though!

Tonight will be steak - bought some enormous free range steaks from the Bargain Bin and stuck them in the freezer. They're thawing right now and I'll knock out steak with either onions or bernaise sauce (depending how I feel!) - We have some red somewhere that desperately needs drinking, too.

Need something for a desert, though -

Not good news for me I think, woke earlier to a 8.3 BG was down at the church by 8.10 and have eaten three sausage baps, sausages maybe but three rolls. Ah!!

Snack half a slice Coffee Walnut cake & a cappuccino (Sunday Good Behaviour treat)
D; 2 Capsicum stuffed with Pork mince carrot, onion and chopped capsicum, topped with cheese then baked. Followed by 2 squares white chocolate and sesame seeds.

Good Morning All!

Horrible night's sleep last night - I've been awake since 0500 - feeling down and grumpy. Good job I'm in a room on my own where I can glare darkly at the door every once in a while...

Well, last night was pulled lamb shepherd's pie - the mashed spuds replaced by butternut squash, then some braised red cabbage and broccoli.

This morning I'm making do with just coffee and perhaps some walnuts to snack on later.

Tonight will be a vegetable stir fry - a side of noodles for the OH. I will try to be good!

Hope there's a better night's sleep tonight!
