Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Morning All

6.0 for me today.

Not surprising after spending yesterday in 2 different hospitals, awaiting procedures, with no food at all until last night and no meds either, except perhaps for the left over Fenntanyl in my system, and an evening meal that consisted largely of easter egg..........

Both!! I am taking no pain relief in readiness for starting back on the Butec Patches tomorrow. W:rolleyes:
Hi Liam
Sorry to hear your still in pain,do hope you get it sorted soon. K

Has your daytime bgs reduced?
I get down if I run too low. Is it just the fbgs that are a bother?
Thanks for your reply. They are all higher than they should be, I'm afraid. Used to have hypos. Had gliclazide reduced and good results but recently levels are constantly up despite going back on the morning gliclazide. Have been very stressed lately caring for elderly mum so maybe that is contributing. Don't know whether it's the chicken or egg way around. Feeling better today after a couple of days rest. Thanks again.

Yes stress plays a part. The chicken and egg applies to stress and bgs. If they are high (or too low) it exacerbates stress and pressure on mental health. Its breaking that cycle which for me only low carbs and not high protein consumption can do. I take insulin for very very high insulin resistance. Insulin allows me to run a low calorie diet, if I want one.
