I usually wake to under six ,but over the past week had a horrible cough driving me bonkers lol and it has been 7.4 upon waking . Plus with christmas had higher readings, but today woke to 6.3 and I am happy with that .
Hope your numbers drop to what you want again . We are all different aren't we .
