Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

5.9 fasting but up to 10 after breakfast - stress

Don't forget the 'Dawn effect'. Cortisol levels increase just before you wake up in the morning. This is a natural action of the body's endoctrine system - taking your blood glucose levels immediately on rising will give an elevated reading, which may not be an accurate reflection of your normal glucose levels.
