Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

I have been diabetic 2 for many years, it runs in the family, and my dad was type 1. I take Metformin in the mornings.

My morning readings are 10-12. I find excercise reduces readings, then readings are down to 7's or 8's.

I roughly follow a sugar free diet, but probably not very well. Also a functioning alcoholic.

I am 75 years old, and so far unsure what diabetetic symptoms I have. Life seems fairly normal, got both legs etc...

Not being cocky, but what am I doing right?,
