Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

A surprising 5.4 this morning after a hefty Chinese dinner, followed by wine and cheese and late night.

6.1 at 4.35 this afternoon. Not had anything but coffee today...went back to bed and slept for 4 hrs! Having some salted peanuts for a quick filler for my tum!

5.7 :) let's hope the 5's run continues - keeping the carbs to around 30g max per day, seems to be working again

Apparently meat, fish, seafood and cheese can increase acidity in the blood and thus increase arthritis pain levels. It's been suggested that, if affected, one should limit protein from any of these sources to no more than 70g per day (about the equivalent of one chicken breast).
Alternative sources of protein are nuts, seeds, eggs, single cream (double cream contains less protein), icecream, beans, soy, yoghurt and spinach.

Animal fats not good either. Pork scratching is in the bin! Bacon rind to be cut off again. Im going to be a bit more selective of my fats. Cheese has always been controversial. Cashew nuts for my leptin level not almonds.
Diet can make or break you!!!
