Hi, Icki...pardon my pendantry but I love the fact that your butt is so small it only has one "t". :)

Hi everyone, i have had diabetes for over 15 years type 2. I am overweight but quite active I do test my blood sugars but recently my count is always high, especially in the mornings at least 12. whats going wrong for me??

Hi. hard to say without more detail. If you are on medication but not on a low carb diet, you may wish to consider starting. is it only higher at that time of day (so it's not maybe an infection)? What do you know about "liver dump" while you sleep? Maybe research that.

Welcome, stick with us and read all you can. Lots of useful tips around. Low Carb, Higher fat diet a good place to start.:)

Hope you're feeling a bit better these days. You're having some nice numbers. Shame about sports day.:(

Feeling much better thank you. Been back in work for a few weeks now - the day to day teaching is great, still ramping up the amount of work I'm doing out of school - headteacher very understanding :)

4.6 this morning. Predicted rain is here - so no morning walk for me and no sports day. We'll have to try that again next week.
I do my WW weigh in on a Wednesday morning - and in old money I've now lost over 50 pounds - so :) :) :)

Hi @debbiejane most of us are being very careful with our carbohydrates. Most have stopped porriage, cereals, wheat bread, potato, rice and pasta. Of course cakes, biscuits and chocolate/sweets. In doing so less 12s and reduced carb cravings. Craving for sweet things. Carbs seem to convert to glucose very quickly once hitting the gut.
Enjoy looking around the forum. Lots to read to suit you. Find what works for you and your meter readings. We are here for you. ;)
