Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.2 at 8.45am this morning. Same as you Ally, wish I could loose some weight as it's getting me down now.

I was diagnosed with T2 6 weeks ago and lost 1.4 stone in 3 weeks and nothing since and I've cut right down on so many foods.
Just don't understand!!
@Fairy09 Don't let it get you down. That is an amazing weight loss so quickly. Your body is adjusting to the new normal I imagine. These things happen. This diabetic journey can be a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Keep your eyes on the prize - 1.4 stones loss is a win

Thank you @ianpspurs.
It certainly is a rollercoaster.
I see my DN next week and think she is going to start me on the weight loss pen to inject once a week. I've been on Metormin 2000mg which has made me feel awful so she's halved the dose and feeling less sick now.
I'm also on Jardiance once a day but that hasn't helped with weight loss either.
Feeling a bit low atm and Unfortunately, I've somehow managed to come down with a stinking cold/flu so resting in bed today.

Happy Sunday x x

Morning chaps and lady chaps. First 8 hrs sleep since mid June produces a flat 5 for me which is below my worryometer light! @ally1 still in the 8s so all good. @DJC3 and @jayney27 pleased you are both pleased with your numbers - always makes the day go better. @Beanzy sorry you feel low but nice level of control there. Finally, after a break to apply smelling salts, @JanetMcDowell I do believe you have created a cyber fragrance and I'm hooked:angelic:

My husband is away to St Kilda kayaking. He is the chief cook generally. Having to prepare my own meals so probably starving

Hi @Fairy09 don't put yourself down, that is a great loss in such a short time.:singing: Your body will be adjusting to the new way of eating and your meds (if you are on any). What eating regime are you on? It will get there so keep a :) on your face and carry on.;)

@Tipetoo I love the idea that buying tubs of strips is like buying lottery tickets. @GrumpyOldPhart love the attitude expressed but part of me feels you may "walk that back" if a 6 something hove into view:angelic:
I had a six last night after dinner consisting of seafood marinara and reheated pasta, so there was one in there. I used to say similar things when I was getting fbgl of sevens for the first time.

It helps to lighten my start to the day every now and then, by posting a little humour instead of all the doom and gloom that prevails at times in this thread.
