6.8 today.

Ate late and loads of protein.

Also on gabapentin now which apparently can cause a raise in BG :(

Diagnosed prediabetic Easter 2014. Just left to get on with it, no guidance or help from GP. Every day I'm learning something new.

Had conundrum this morning.
Tested as normal - 5.1.
Current average 5.7 so re-tested. 6.4. WHAT?
tested again, this time 5.9.
I've ended up averaging them, but as I went to bed on 5.4 and am normally flat overnight I am cross!! :banghead:

Stopped testing for a week, started last night with a pre-bedtime of 16.3 and a morning reading of 13.1 , got my hba1c test in a week or so to decide if i need to go on medication.

Hi everyone...This morning my levels were 6.7 this is my first time I have had low levels as they are normally in themid 7s,sometimes in the 8s,yesterday my levels were lower all day ,staying in the 6s,I am assuming this is good...Get my 3 month results next week...

Don't be cross, it will raise your BG ;)

I think this is just the meter characteristics again - it might make sense to retest if you get a result that seems outside your normal range and take an average as you did, or just leave it and accept it as an outlier amongst the cloud of other readings.

I had a 6.9 yesterday but was away from home and it was hot. This morning 5.5 - where did that come from? I could have retested but I'll take that one thank you umpire! Last night we went out and had a couple of glasses of red wine outside on the quayside in the sun, before coming back for a fairly light chicken and green beans dinner. I'm hoping that scenario is significant!

4.3 for me, this morning. To be honest, I had expected a little bit lower, as I was 3.9 2hrs after my evening meal. I had a glass of vino rosso after dinner, but that usually does nothing. A bit of liver action? Who knows.

Interestingly, our evening meal yesterday was cottage pie, whith a little cheesy top, and baked beans. My OH had been fancying it for days, allegedly, so it was his choice. Before: 3.9. 2 hours later: 3.9. I thought the combo of mashed potato and baked beans might have been a bit much, but, I'll take that one!

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow Paulins. I really hope it comes back a teenie, tiny number.

5.3 this morning

I've been using my accucheck mobile for the last 3 days. It's on prescription but I also buy my own SD code free. The give similar readings. Accucheck slightly higher but nothing significant.

Roast dinner last night so, customary still processing the protein, 5.2

Back up to 7.2 this morning. 8.8 last night before I went to bed for no obvious reason just didn't seem to want to come back down easily after tea last night (Turkey, cheese and salad sandwiched in 1 slice of bread which normally wouldn't be a problem). I seemed to be suffering from a bit of a tummy bug yesterday and last night so it might have been that. Hopefully I'll be back into the 6s tomorrow.

4.4 for me today. Stir fry last night followed by strawberries. And lots of water.
