8.9 this morning - higher than usual. I am having trouble with my gallbladder and waiting to have it out.Does anyone know if this messes with glucose levels?

6.3 this morning taken at 6.00am.

Yesterday after getting up late it was 7.9.

Experimenting as I had a week of good readings. All in the 5's.

Then the next week 6s and 7s.

Am quickly concluding that early morning readings mean lower readings.

Thinking it may be the 'liver dump' causing the higher readings ??

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn

I have had diabetes for 7 years now and my fasting blood glucose in the morning used to be in the fives now it is more like 7 or a bit more, I think have done fairly well to stay off medication for this long but am now finding it more difficult to keep my morning count down. I do not eat much carb now and that helps but it is hard going. However I shall still keep trying, I do take exercise regularly still, but it gets harder as I am no longer young! Liz Martin

Levels are creeping up these days. Was only ever getting 7s straight after diagnosis, before I'd cottoned on to low carbing properly. The got into the 5s zone quite regularly.

Got a bunch of strips lately and have noticed that I'm now more often well into the sixes and having occasional fasting readings in the 7s.

Bummer.

Mine vary a lot from day to day, anywhere from around 9.5 - 7.2. I have always suffered from what they call the Dawn Phenomenon :(

I take SR Metformin as well as Insulin

3.9 at 04:00am this morning and have felt out of sorts all day. 4.9 before exercise ( which was a struggle) and 4.9 straight afterwards.mmmmmm

Always around high4s or low 5s. The lowest reading of the day. At the pathology test though ( 3 hours later when they start) it is around 6.2.
