They'll admit me straight away no questions asked, if i'm entirely honest my nurse is really snobby and mean, we've considered changing area as we live in the middle of two teamsDon't skip hospital appointment. Use it to ask for some psychological support within your diabetes team.
Hi test your blood sugars regularly and get the feel of your diabetes. Emotions can affect sugar, exercise or lack of. Each day is slightly different so adjust insulin accordingly. Plus give yourself a break you're doing your best. A good specialist nurse at your local hospital often is helpful. It's hard going sometimes but we understand as we're going through the same struggle, all the best JonHey!
My type-1 has been uncontrollable for the last month, high blood sugars have been a average thing...
I've been in hospital 3 times in the past due to this, and really dont want to go in again
Can someone help me?
Hello
I didnt get Type 1 until I was 19, so I never went through the stressful school years, trying to be normal. With your high sugars, would you be eligible for an insulin pump? (One good reason to go to your appointment.) I really like the pump because instead of diabetes controlling me, I control my diabetes. If I want to eat less/more I don't need to carb load to balance the morning's dosage. Plus, a high sugar can be dealt with instantly, no waiting until next meal bolus or extra injections. It helps my control immensely. Try and explain to the Doctor/Nurse that sitting in a hospital bed is nothing like real life. You need control for a real life situation not a hospital bed situation.
All the best for Thursday

I get support off of my dad, my mum, theres a whole story behind that and my dad's usually out at work.Hi there, I see you are only 14, do you get any support from your parents?
We spoke to my nurse on the phone, theres a small chance they'll probably put me into the hospital for a high HBA1C which is what I feared but... :/ - Private tutoring is done by a local company.
5 times a day
You will see, that regardless of the carbs type, mainly only the number of grams is important - thus “LC” (low carb) diet is the solution.
I measured, that I can accept max 5g of carbs in one meal to not cross 1h limit of 7.7. You can be the lucky man and accept much more - As I read this forum, typical is around 50g a day. You have to catch your number.
