I reversed my Type 2
Treatment type
Diet only
I'm the same with nuts or cheese. So I bag them up into small food bags so I'm conscious of how much if I have a nibble. Luckily my small tummy tells me now too so 2 failsafes. I love the fact I cannot overeat in volume because it also tells me too much carb if I get head hunger. So I revise or stop new food. I even get it on nuts. The uncomfortable feeling of full. I wait if I need nuts for fibre. Cheese isn't needed as I'm on calcium tablets.
I've had to throw out food lately as partner and teenager is restaining their late eating, at last.

Ickihun, whilst I respect you make your own food choices, I would have thought any calcium supplement should be a supplement to your dietary intake, rather than an alternative to it.

Is you calcium prescribed?

I'm eating the nuts to up my fibre intake in my fight against cholesterol but I can get carried away and eat lots...and lots....and far too many.

Nuts! Ahhhh, fond memories. I will have them again soon(ish) - and in appropriate moderation.

Down another 1.6kg this week, though no real change in bodyfat % (still it's not up so that's a good thing!).

Have busted through the 10kg barrier so running totals now down an even 11kg and -6.4% body fat since start. :)

Yes prescribed with D3 chewable because of the bariatric operation.
Blood tests show I'm at good levels. :)

I've added this week, luckily only a few pounds. Still taking metformin until I speak to consultant on 12th. Bad monitoring with some 12s. Low carb no help but will do it strictly again in the new year. Although it will be difficult if only lean protein but we'll see.
So 99.8kgs this morning with 2 full days of no furosemide. I hope it isn't permanent. Mind u I'm absolutely shattered with pain which is suspected gallbladder not stones but the gallbladder itself.
Awaiting MRCP and a solution.
Walking still bad from trapped nerves. All on my right side.
I'm not letting go as I have a goal which I've delayed due to Covid but not going to allow it too much havic.
I don't care how many barriers. I will achieve my ultimate goal.

Think still losing a little weight. Cold so weighed with clothes.
49.7kg.
Cat however is now 4.1kg gaining weight and looking fat.
He was just over 3kg first time I managed to weigh him.
MrSlim says he is a different animal, looks sleek and well cared for, confident inside and friendly to everyone who visits. He is even a different colour, with the dirty beige parts now revealed as white.
Still a bit nervous of people outside, but not anything like the scruffy, thin, terrified cat who scurried away if he saw anyone. He now watches people before deciding to get under cover.

A surprise 2lb loss this week. Have done more walking but less aerobics this week so maybe that's it. Not complaining as that makes it the full 3 stone from first measure last Christmas before diagnosis

Now 4lbs lighter than 2 weeks ago just with being more active and possibly eating a little less - I'll take it anyhow - not fussed how I have managed it

Thanks @Diawara I am grateful. Hugely. I would hv definitely been in a bigger problem without intervention. I'm thinking of ways to rely my thanks but restricted physically but luckily neighbour owns big florists so just awaiting a lift up of lockdown.
Diabetes specialist has changed tablets around so hoping huge swellings go right down and I lose most of the gained weight.
I'll weigh in next Friday now so hopefully a more positive result. Specialist also believes I should lose weight when T4 is good but getting another blood test next week or the next for thyroid and C-peptide.
Fingers crossed.

56.2kg so a bit up. BGs have been a bit up this week too and I’m no longer in ketosis so I’ve obviously taken my eye off the ball somewhere. Maybe nuts - I’m a bit rubbish with controlling the amount too. I like your idea of portioning out @ickihun but I know I’d pop one in my mouth for every couple I put into the bags. I do it when weighing cheese for a recipe too - If I’ve cut off too much I put the desired amount aside for the recipe and then eat the rest!!!

Very pleased to report another 2lbs loss this week woo hoo  so happy as a year ago, I was one stone heavier and I have now got back down to what I was before putting on that stone, btw have lost over 5 stones over the years in total from my heaviest weight - and now only 3lbs to lose then I will be 8st 13lbs which is my own personal goal and imo I think would be my ideal weight, I have this thing in my head about being just under 9st and sticking there long term but I do feel slim today again just with losing those extra couple of pounds it has made a difference in my clothes being loose rather than a bit tighter - happy days

Forgot to weigh this morning, and FBG, woken by rain dripping on the bed, not a good start to the day, then packing. Last into the car was Cat. Have got some spray which is supposed to make cats feel comfortable and safe. So far it seems to be working. He is quiet in his travel basket.
