Brilliant, well done!Lost 1.7 this week. 214.4 At least positive. Hope it keeps going.
That is concerning, I don't know why, could it be water retention do you think?3 lbs on for me. Bit concerned as keeping active and low carb, certainly not having that many carbs to put on 3 lbs.
Cutting out alcohol and cutting way down on the cheese. Any other ideas welcomed
That's a good, steady weight loss, good luck with the next 6, I am sure you will do it!Diagnosed with Type 2 in April. Have lost 8 lbs in last 3 months. Now 12 st 13 lb down from 13 st 7.
Ideally aiming for 6 more
Every ounce counts, even a small loss is a step in the right direction.Did lose this week. 9ozs 213.5
That is fabulous, well done! Yes, it will be next summer before I am beach ready too. Soon people will notice, I have travelled this road before and it is amazing how people don't see any change until we have lost quite a bit.As of this morning, I've lost about 22lbs in around two and a half months. Most of that was without trying either.
I look forward to getting up to the two stone lost stage, which I'm now confident about. Like @LeafyArts said, it's encouraging when the weight does shift.
Nobody's noticed, mind, but I know I'm smaller. Mostly my belly - visceral fat I guess - but that's good. My shirts fit better, and my belt has got to go a couple of notches tighter.
All in all I'm pleased, I feel much better mentally, too. But sadly it'll be next summer before I'll be beach-ready...![]()
How frustrating, I don't know if it will work for you, but if I stall, I find switching things up a bit can get the weight moving downwards again. Sounds like you have already made good changes, so hopefully you will be rewarded by some weight loss soon.My 3 lb on has gone again, in 10 days. Stopped the daily wine that been a holiday "treat", cut back on cheese and kept any nuts in the cupboard.
Still struggling to lose another 8lbs that have crept on in 18 months
Thank you. I have travelled this road before too, but I'm determined that this'll be the last time. See you at the beach next summer! That is fabulous, well done! Wow, you have done well, you are now in the healthy BMI range!11st 3lbs this week - BMI of 23.2
That's close to 16kgs down since I was diagnosed in late March this year, and BMI down from 28.4.
Yes, a change in meds and lack of sleep as well as the anxiety can certainly have a detrimental effect on your weight. Cortisol I do believe, is the culprit, although I am no expert by any means. But you are keeping an eye on things and that is really good, when things are getting tough, I find I shy away from the scales and then things really go haywire. So keep on working towards your goals and I hope you can get a handle on the sleep and anxiety.stayed the sameI’ll blame change in medication, still around 3-4 hours sleep and feel pretty anxious a lot of the time.
