Weekly weigh in - Fridays

This really is the hardest time of year, so much food and drink around and lovely smells everywhere we go. So well done everyone for sticking with it and even if you haven't lost this week, or you haven't got the results you wanted, just being here and supporting each other is wonderful.

@callyandy nearly a whole kg is great and 38 panettones off, woohoo! You are right, we just need to not panic and stick to our plan. My challenge is going to be sticking with it after Christmas, I have fallen foul of that before.

@EllieM Ahh, it is so tough, you must be so frustrated! But you are doing the right thing being mindful of your weight, it will come off eventually, it has to.

@aylalake - that is still a good loss and yes, next week you will be out of the 90s, it will be here before we know it!

@filly a loss is still a loss, hopefully it will be more next week, you are still in the game and that is the most important thing.

@IanBish Oh well, a STS is better than a gain and sometimes it is inches rather than lbs that come off, the body is a funny thing. Fingers crossed for you next week.

@MissMuffett - WOW! that is a great loss this week and the overall trajectory is downward and that is fabulous.

@May Mic YAY, down 1.6 is really great, you are doing so well!

As for myself, I have rather surprisingly lost another 3lbs (bear in mind I am still very overweight and I still have a lot of weight to go before I am even out of the obese BMI range, hence the larger losses), it has been a stupidly busy week and I am afraid I have had little time to shop for food, let alone eat it - heh, but I do my best, LOL.
With your circumstances that's a really healthy weight loss. Too much too soon leaves saggy skin. My problem... but better saggy skin than skin full of blubber:happy: Well done you

It is indeed. It is a great support. I'm very grateful for this thread.

I tend to feel if I've lost. I didn't feel it this week, but I'm crossing everything for next week.

I've got a way (weigh) to go too. But we (the larger people) are all in this together, and we'll give support and encouragement as necessary.
Thanks Ian, yes the support in this thread is such a help, I am very grateful too. All the best for next week!

4 lbs off since last weigh (can't remember when that was). Edited to added, last weigh was 7th October
Going through a very stressful time so some planned intermittent fasting and some unplanned, grabbing lc food where possible (cold cooked chicken, cheese, almonds). Carby party food late last night might just have undone that loss though!
That is a good loss over that period of time and likely to stay off. I have been on your stressful diet these past couple of weeks, too, I hope things settle down for you soon.

A non-scale victory today.
My rsi has flared up in my typing thumb so put my wrist brace on. It was huge! Had to move all the straps to minimum position. Might still have saggy tummy but wrists are skinny. :joyful:
That is a great NSV MrsA2! My wrists have slimmed down as well, pity my tummy and bottom still haven't yet, LOL!

Well, I lost 1lb this week, which after the last couple of weeks, I am totally fine about. I am fighting a bit of a cold, so I have been trying to eat more healthy foods, but still stay within a (sort of) decent calorie range.

its been 2 weeks since i last posted, in that time i have been going up 1lb and then back down again, never though i would get any further but for the last 2 mornings i have been 15st 12lbs, so that is another 1lb off and a total weight lost since staring the diet of 6st 9lbs,, hopefully i can build on that over the next week.

Today I weigh 77.9 kg, a loss this week of .7kg. 20.6kg, or 41 family Christmas puddings... Next week I expect to have put weight on, only from volume of food, not all bad choices. However... it's a minefield. Good luck to those of us celebrating this season, it's tough when those around us are partaking of such tasty treats and we're on the side lines. Keep strong, we're in this together. Merry Christmas, see you on the other side!.

Lost another 2lb this week bring h down to 15st 11lbs! That's 9lb overall since December 1st when my Hba1c was 101.

I have an app that gives me a rolling average based on all the finger tests I take and if it's to be believed, I've brought it down to 54.3. I know it's only a guess but it's a helluva lot better than my actual HbA so I'm happy.

Luckily, I've never liked Christmas pudding. But I'm going to have to force myself to have some New York cheesecake over the Christmas. Well done on your loss - it's never easy at this time of year.
