What a wonderful sunny week. Being selfish I am looking forward to cooler weather and less lugging of watering cans. I have done 9 trips to tap with two cans some sessions. Still lost a few points of kg this week and at 76.7 I am at long last visiting 76 on the scales. Wonder if we will get typical bank holiday weather. My water barrels need refilling. Have a good week everyone.

Parsnips, turnips, swedes-the vegetable not the people.
I'm doing low carb low fat with xenical tablets.

I've lost again.
Since tuesday this week I've lost 1.4kgs.
So I'm 128.50kgs now. I'm delighted I'm losing properly for a change!
Basal insulin keeping me from liver dumps throughout the day. Only taking 15-20units of novarapid when I eat.
Sometimes I skip a meal as basal carrying me over.
I'm getting closer and closer to my target weight loss for bariatric surgery. :) :) :)
Great job!!

for your swimming, someone in my warm pool therapy class (no longer take, expensive) wore a waterproff fitbit which allowed him to track the heart issues.

Can't take painkillers but notice no flairs after pool with same intensity as dry land as long as the temp of the water is over 86 degrees.
That is useful info @Contralto .
I initially thought water retention due to heart but hospital saying my heart is good just light furring of arteries.
I've told new bariatric specialist no heart issues. However they know I'm on furosemide for water retention. GP may increase furosemide today as my blood pressure is up. I'm on maximum perindopril so don't think I can have it increased. Depends on which part of my heart is under pressure, I guess.
Having to take 10yr old too today for varrucas. They won't repeat an old prescription without him seeing gp. He needs review on vit d deficiency too.
I'll message you if any new developments from gp as I don't want to hog this thread.
Ps. I'm struggling to keep hydrated. Kids drinking my diet lemonade now too. Is nothing sacred? Ha ha

hi all, this sounds such a good idea. I've struggled with my weight for years! So this could be the group help I need. I lost 7.5 stone about 2 years ago but need another couple off. Since being diagnosed last October I have tried to lose some but nothing as to yet. So if its ok, I'd like to join the group please

Welcome @pugster75 . The more the merrier, I say. :)
Can i ask, how did you lose that 7.5 stone? That's a huge amount. I'm sure you are more than capable of getting your last couple of stones off.
Hopefully we can help each other.

It's the last bit that the hardest, I think.

btw, VIcky, the reason I no longer take diuretics is because they made it more difficult to use my muscles and my sugars rose

https://www.drugs.com/sfx/furosemide-side-effects.html
I know it is renound for side affects but my water tummy was making my back problem worse, so I couldnt walk or do anything at home. I would have got fatter and fatter by immobility. Added weight from water demoralised my weight loss attempt too.
I manage the higher bgs and foot cramps. For now.
I was having chest pains before taking furosemide med introduction. Chest pains still occur inbetween painkiller therapy.
My mental health needs this weight loss as much as my physical body. I've tried everything.

I'm 176.4lbs this morning, meaning I've lost 1lb in the last two weeks.
Not great, but I suppose at least I've stopped gaining weight.

I'll make a bit more of an effort this week, and see if I can maybe get things moving a little.

Good morning. I lost 0.7 kg this week, now at 86.4kg.

Had to buy new shorts this week - had bought a few pairs for the summer a couple of months ago, but found they were already too big!

On waking weigh-in I'm 128.80kgs so after ablusions maybe less.
Very busy today so weighed myself on waking.
I'm optomistic for next week weigh-in.
I had to increase my insulin back to 60basal and 20-20-20 with no skipped meals and occasional supper due to stress of abusive neighbour.
Hoping things will settle down now police are going around to remind them to back off.
I'd like to reduce my insulin this week. I tried to reduce my tramadol but I'm in agony again. So tramadol back on full every 4hrs 2 tablets.
If I can reduce insulin and increase xenical as I've only been taking 1-2 a day.
Off shopping at 10am.
I've had no protein bread in this week either so had occasional white. :(
