Next test is April 10th.........hopefully this sepsis episode won't set me back too bad(last 21 days in hospital)......Weight has fallen to 131kg due to sweating from 42/43 temperature spikes
Test has been postponed until June......consultant and I agreed it would be silly to have this whilst I am an in-patient

Chronicle_Cat, I'm about 2kg down on my usual weight, but as I currently stand, you have lost a whole me. I weighed 46.3kg this morning. 48.5-50 is my usual running track.

Everry time I see your images I just stand aghast. You've done so, so well.

Hi all, not weighed in for a while as I'd just stayed at 12st 13lb. However started again on Monday and am now 12st 7.5lb. So 5.5lb loss. Happy happy

Put on weight overnight.

CW: 69.6 kg (153.4 pounds)
Weight at diagnosis exactly 2 weeks ago: 73.6 kg (162.2)
First goal weight: 65 kg (143.3)

Had to stop Dapagliflozin as I could not bear thrush any longer. Will return to it if I get a chance and leading up to my op.
So hv added without a diabetic tablet of any sort. I'd luv to return to Metformin but having IBS (or undiagnosed CD) symptoms currently. So I will be swollen internally as well as my tummy and arms. Haven't been able to take water tablets for a week. As walking too slow to reach public toilets, in a hurry.
So.... My new starting weight to lose from is 131.20kgs.
Low carb and low cal is the only way for me.

I'm still below my target weight for my op so no pressure there.
I just want as much weight off as possible. Permanently.

Well done to all who are trying. :)

Starting (age 71, height 5'9"/27.2 cm) weight on March 09 2019 was 202 pounds (91.8 kg) and weight today is 183.5 lb/83.4 kg, changed diet (cut 97% sugar/bread/baked goods) and exercise regime...

Edit at 0935 to add bread to cut items...

I've not posted for ages because
  • my weight had been stable for ages
  • more recently I've had fat elephant legs full of fluid due to oedema, which I felt would be likely to "falsify" my results
However a couple of weeks ago I had a Friday review with GP and very apprehensively weighed in on his scales - which always read about 2kg higher than mine do at home. I was slightly gobsmacked to see that I now weighed the same on these as I had last time I checked on mine, which would suggest that I've lost that 2kg weight in spite of my still slightly jumboesque leg and without actually trying. But I've not yet braved my own scales to confirm this pleasant surprise! :bag:

A cowardly Robbity

So I'm restarting my finger biting 800cals milkshakes and veg meals (again) today. With non-diabetic hubby.
I stopped Dapagliflozin last week for 5 days. So I've added 5kgs as a result. But it's been heaven not to have had thrush.
On more insulin but not as much as I used to take... Pre-Dapagliflozin. Although morning bgs are in 9s rather than 7s but working on it by restarting 800cals.

So I'm restarting on 133.70kgs this morning weigh-in.
Awaiting a bottle of skimmed milk which farmer assured me was just watered down semi-skimmed. Not fat reduced as everyone assumes. Only fat reduced due to added water volume in ratio to fat.

Hope everyone is happy in their weight changing position and sending good luck and support.

How odd. I would have thought if skimmed milk was actually watered down the additional water would have to be listed as an ingedient.

I imagine your weight gain is largely your lack of increased urination stimulated by the 'flozin. I'd bet it might go almost as quickly as it appeared, unless there were other weight gain/loss factors in play.

Maybe farmer is having a joke at my expense? I will compare labels tomorrow, for sure. Mind u this farmer supplies to restaurants primarily.
