A day that started out as a very lazy day after two days on the bridge, not even a morning swim. Until 3 pm, when my boss called to ask if I could do the bridge tomorrow, please, please, please.
I had planned to clean up the house, get groceries, and cook for 3 days on the bridge tomorrow, and now I suddenly had to do it today.
I had wanted to make a moussaka, but not starting late afternoon and unplanned, so the new plan was meat loaf, two days with cauliflower and grated cheese, two days with tomatoes and mozzarella. Bumped into neighbour Tale in the supermarket and asked him if he was up for a spontaneous bbq tonight. (My dinner plan for today was spareribs, but I don't have the patience for a bbq, he has, and it's rather stupid to eat spareribs from the oven midsummer.)
Nope, he had plans with his girlfriend Astrid.
I got my groceries, cooked cauliflower, made a spicy meatloaf, and then Astrid came in to tell me that Tale is an idiot and of course we'll bbq together.

But they had some work to do first, and did I want to come for a swim after that?
So my lazy day has turned into a frenzy: groceries, unplanned cooking, an upcoming swim and then food in the garden!
I only have to make sure to get in bed at a reasonable time, 4 days of work is a lot, and it will be followed by a busy weekend with Mark coming for a sleepover and Astrids birthday party.
Oh well, life could be worse!
