These ones come from Jordan and are nearly all nuts. Unlike the incredibly sticky concoctions that are made in the UK.Isn’t baklava pure sugar?
Thanks @maglil55 and I am sure the family meal will be sumptuous. Offer accepted from someone else (who will pay) and we already have one ex-PM round here in this True Blue 1 party state. - Even so, no love for Bojo hereabouts, nor his opponent. Opinion round here is facing a choice between Ken Doll and Mr Blobby eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow (from July) .....A very belated happy birthday @ianpspurs. Maybe Bojo will buy your house to escape nosy neighbours?
Was way over where sat fat should be. Think that can't be healthy, at least not long term.Asa cheesaholic, I have to say that the cheese might not have been doing any harm either.)
I have to own up that I dont have a duvet on our bed. I have pure wool blankets, with top quality sheets and a summer and winter eiderdown. I know I am an absolute dinosaur but its what we are comfortable with. All other beds in the househave duvets.I am the man who killed summer - bought a summer duvet today. Decided after ditching the base layer that at midsummer the 15.5 tog quilt could go for a whileFood was perfectly serviceable and LC as these things are reckoned if not as subterranean as the illuminati. Tea for B as per. NE1 2 x slices tongue in 2 x large flaxseed crackers with 2 x small but perfectly formed cherry vine toms and 4 slices cucumber. NE2 was chicken salad liberally clothed in h/m mayo. Definitely no summer duvet tonight. Not quite frez up my ninnie but Chilly McChillyface is visiting.

Blankets? Luxury. We were too poor for blankets. We used to dream of blankets. Chest rubbed with goose fat and wrapped in brown paper then off to the coal shed to sleep.Oh my goodness, your bedding sounds heavenly. It reminds me of when I was little and stayed round my auntie’s - her beds were the same and I absolutely loved sleeping there.

Evenin’ All,
B: scram eggs with chilli butter
L: forgot to eat, except for some Lindt 70%
D: reheated brisket (YUM!) with added butter. Am about to follow it with goatsmilk yog.
OOooh. Chilli butter? Do you make it yourself?
Yes! Fresh grated red chillis (and garlic, and seasonings) mixed into softened butter, shaped into portion sizes, and stored in freezer til needed.
I vaguely remember getting the ‘starter’ recipe from DietDoctor, but have probably morphed it out of all recognition since then.
