What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Yesterday was pub quiz night so had fish & chip supper, glass of white wine, glass of red wine, glass of port
Tested bs levels before going to bed fearing the worst. However got a reading of 5.0. Maybe this should be my new diet! Reading this morning was 5.5, also fine.

Yesterday
B - a smoothie of blueberries, avocado and almond milk. Bloody horrible. I'll try again today and vary the quantities but I'm not hopeful.
L - turkey salad
No dinner
S - coffee & cream, babybels, mini-salamis, merlot

Couple off days back I bought a swede. What can I make wit that?

Sorry, don't know any special recipes, I just love it mashed with lots of butter and pepper. Did you know you can cook it whole in the microwave? No need to peel or prick it?

I had no idea! I love swede so I'll have to experiment. Thank you for that.

Mashed with loads of butter will help.

You could chop a swede into bits and then roast with olive oil.

It takes about 20 minutes on "high", mines 700w microwave. Take out of oven with a cloth, lay on its side, the knife just slides through it - scoop flesh out with large spoon. When it's prepared the other way, quite a lot of the skin is cut away & always hard to peel anyway. The microwave way there's hardly any waste.
