Made stamppot andijvie again, and very tasty little meatballs. It's always a surprise how meatballs turn out, this time they were perfect!
Also two thin rashers of bacon, and melted cheese cubes inside the stamppot.



Two meatballs for me, one for them, and of course they got to clean the plate. They look pretty satisfied to me!

I prefer the taste of the 0% Fage and it has the same carb content (3G/100g) as the higher fat version of the same brand. I like the tanginess - contrasts with the cream I mixed in. My absolute favourite Greek yoghurt is the M&S 10% fat.

Editing to say I first experimented with the 0% when I was trying the PE Diet a la Ted Naiman. Was surprised to find such a low carb content and enjoyed it! Have since discovered that I do best with zero dairy (yes, it needs to be ditched all over again) and the much fattier cuts of meat.

Thanks, I’ve used a few of their recipes and occasionally bought the ready made bread -megga loaf/rolls. Is the linseed bread different? I also bought piccalilli from them at Christmas which was great.
This is the Hemsley&Hemsley recipe http://hemsleyandhemsley.com/recipe/flaxseed-buns/ they don’t have a soft bread like texture though, it’s more like pumpernickel. You don’t need the maple syrup, and ground linseed/flaxseed works better than whole.
There is another company which makes good bread and rolls, I don’t know if you’ve come across these? Quite a few people on this thread like them ( me included) https://seriouslylowcarb.com the rolls are really big and perfect for a bacon butty.
 
DJC3. I used ground flaxseed (which I've only just found out is also known as linseed!), no maple syrup. Altho it uses yeast, there is no sugar to activate the yeast so next time I shall use the yeast differently. They didn't rise and yes, they are more like pumpernickel. But I quite like them even tho I can only have half a roll a day. What's the ready-made bread like? I will look on the slc website.
 
Evening all.

Finally rid of all contraband having snaffled the remaining choc nut squares, macadamia and raspberries and cream/yoghurt.

Main event was a thick sirloin steak, which @Riva_Roxaban may think is undercooked, but which was delicious with an egg for company.

 
SLC bread is great. It's the closest I've tasted to "real" bread. It toasts well too. It was wonderful to be able to have sandwiches again and toast for breakfast. I'm fond of their hot dog rolls as well. I tend to order in bulk and freeze it (one loaf in the fridge). Not cheap but very few low carb products are.

I didn’t realise for ages that flaxseed snd linseed are the same either. I really like the pumpernickel style breads but it’s good to have a choice sometimes. The KFC ready made bread was good but I think the ground chia seeds made it a bit gritty. I prefer SLC rolls.
 
Three meals today:
Breakfast one each of high pork content chipolata sausage, fried egg and home made low carb roll
Lunch lc seeded crackers with hm pate followed by yoghurt and a few raspberries, and two squares of 90% chocolate
Dinner roast turkey, one small roast potato and sprouts with glass of dry white wine followed by lc brownie warmed and served with spoon of cream.
It’s my autistic sons 46th birthday this week and Turkey is his fave meat. I always buy an extra turkey crown at Christmas to freeze for his birthday meal.
 
breakfast; low carb granola, a slice of carbzone bread and butter
mocha
lunch; low carb crispbread topped with cream cheese and cotto ham. pip and nut butter cup
dinner; chicken, gravy, broccoli, cauli, carrots, small roast potato . raspberries, blackberries and cream. DGF mince pie. last one!

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: Costa coconut cappuccino and a handful of mixed nuts.
Dinner: prawn mayo sandwiches made with LC bread with coleslaw followed by sugar free strawberry jelly and cream.
 
@Tori71 I still have one DGF Mincemeat pie in the freezer. Bed 6.3 FBG 6.8.

Last day of the DD two week reset. I've decided I'm going back to their 10 week plan that @DJC3 and I did previously as I still have my amended menus on my Dier Doctor App. Weirdly, as well as weeks 1 - 10, I also have a Week 3.5 - no idea why other than I was ill with what the GP suspected was long Covid and some weeks I didn't want food.

B. 2 rashers of back bacon, 2 eggs and 5 santini tomatoes. Usual TAG
l. Off to swimming lessons with youngest. Finally allowed back in to watch from the gallery. His breast stroke has improved immensely.

D. Pork fillet medallions with bunches of asparagus wrapped in bacon and pan fried with the medallions. Once sealed, I added mushrooms to soak up the butter they were fried in, then chicken stock, lid on to finish cooking. Not part of the recipe was a sauce I made separately as Hubby doesn't like cream in sauces. Wilted down spinach in butter then added some Apple cider vinegar, lemon juice follow by some of the stock from the other pan. Teaspoon of mustard and 2 teaspoons of pureed apple (made earlier with Monk Fruit). Cream to finish off.
Usual campari and soda earlier.
Currently having a well chilled coconut milk!
 
Brunch - 3 scrambled eggs n cheese. Mug of earl grey tea

Dinner - Chili salmon with broccoli, asparagus, kale and a few peas. 1 dgf lemon & white chocolate cookie. Mug of earl grey tea. I just had a handful of mixed nuts & some grated cheese
 
Made a very yummy fish dish for dinner: small onion, sauteed in butter, double cream poured over the onion, mixed fish pieces (salmon, cod, smoked haddock) added. Simmered for x2 mins. All mix poured over 2 hard boiled eggs (quartered) and lots of wilted spinach in oven dish. Topped with mashed celeriac. Baked for 25 mins.
 
Two slices middle bacon, two well done egg and cheese omelette, tomatoes, slice of low carb toast and vegimite for breakfast.
Nothing for smoko, just lemon cordial osmolax mix.
Pork loin chops, green veggies, brown onion gravy, tub of green low sugar jelly for lunch.
Four small grilled whiting fillets, a bit of salad, another tub of pineapple jelly.

Four pepper crackers with blues cheese watching Prime.

Yay! for Raffa for getting the win in the mens tennis.
 
As expected, breakfast was the remainder of the fish stew with a couple of eggs stirred into it to thicken it up. Kept me quite comfortable for most of the day.

However, we got to the evening, I had a one hour phone call to my brother down south and then after a half hour break a Zoom meeting with a friend to do some studying together. That ended in an extended chat so finished pretty late. So I just grabbed some toast and made do with that after the call to my brother.

Still - the carbs won't be too high. A bit short on fluids so I'm still trying to get some inside me even though it's late and that isn't really the best idea.

Have to be up and about early tomorrow to get to the hospital for my pre-op assessment. No 2 son goes for his surgery on Tuesday and my brother goes for his pre-op assessment on Tuesday as well. That's being done in Swindon at least so he doesn't have to go to Oxford for that part of the proceedings. Much better than dragging himself to the John Radcliffe hospital where, apparently, there is no parking to be had. Patients have to park a good distance away and complete their journey by bus. Seems silly to me - anyone going there for surgery is, by definition, already vulnerable, probably have been self-isolating for days or even weeks, and they have to travel on public transport to get there.

There's a lot in this world that doesn't make sense to me these days.
