Had a lovely evening!I'll be eating out tonight for the first time in some two and a half years!
It's an all you can eat tapas thing, so lots of opportunity for low carb choices. But I expect I'll have some of the higher carb stuff as well, we'll see.
Didn't quite work out as planned - Em came in the afternoon and was here until her dad came for her at about 6 pm. Too late by then to start making sausage casserole so just had the 2 sausages fried and some bacon. Quick and easy - laziness is still showing through despite feeling better. Very sore though - that's my excuse.Breakfast: eggy bread, using 1 slice of wholemeal bread.
2nd meal will be a sausage casserole with a couple of pork sausages and lots of veggies.
Good idea @MrsA2. tyUp early to take son to station
B: scrambled eggs with a little lc soda bread
Frustrating morning caused by computer issues so headed to supermarket 2 hours later than planned, hungry and with a headache. Did main shop all healthy low carb then spotted new coffee flavoured biscuits ."one won't hurt" said my inner temptress.
A whole packet later, added remorse and self loathing to my high bgs.
Made myself go to zumba, the morning will tell if that was a good decision for my back.
D: small potion hm lc meatloaf, one tablespoon carrots. 1 rum and soda (because if I opened a bottle of wine I wouldn't have stopped.
@RosemaryJackson let's start tomorrow as another day together
@RosemaryJackson As many have said on here we are in a marathon not a sprint. You have a stressful day looming so give yourself a break. One day from the rest of your life is not going to hurt too much. As you rightly say tomorrow is another day.Hi all. Well, my low carb day turned magically into a very high carb day. I'm stressing a bit. Tomorrow it will be the first anniversary of my lovely daughter's passing and I miss her. I also go for a Covid test then isolate till Monday when I will be having a minor op on my hand, which Ive been told I must keep still for a week. So today I should have eaten cheese on toast for bf , smoked salmon and Philly on 2 Ryvitas for lunch and tonight egg mayo on Iceburg lettuce. It turned into 5 Ryvitas with butter and the last marmalade in my pantry, a whole bar of chocolate, and anything that wasn't nailed down! Feel awful that Ive let me down and you. Tomorrow's another day and hopefully, a better one.
Thank you. I'll take it one day at a time. I'm in Lincolnshire so it's dinner and tea for me too.@RosemaryJackson As many have said on here we are in a marathon not a sprint. You have not let anyone on this forum down. We have all been in that situation where we have strayed from the low carb path to some degree and often with far less reason than you have. My prayers are with you as you struggle with today's anniversary.
To keep my post to the forum title and avoid incurring the wrath of any early rising mod. Yesterday's food was as most days Coffee for breakfast, cottage cheese for dinner and steak for tea. Many other coffees and water drunk throughout the day (I am northern so for those elsewhere substitute lunch for dinner and dinner for tea)

You shouldn't feel you've let anyone down. Dealing with "firsts" as I call them affect everyone. Hugs for your approaching anniversary. You never forget but the time comes when you can look back on happier times xxHi all. Well, my low carb day turned magically into a very high carb day. I'm stressing a bit. Thanks. I just can't seem to shake this off. Having said that, it's not a week yet and it does seem to take longer to rid yourself of infections. I do feel slightly better than I was on Sunday/Monday.You do seem to be having a hard time of it @maglil55. I hope you soon get over this bout of illness - perhaps as the weather improves, you will too. I gather we are due to have something a bit better than recent gales and storms.

I'm looking for advice, does anyone take turmeric tablets and/ or vitamin A. I want to start taking these for eyesight and pain relief benefits. Of course there is a bewildering array of choice. Investigation on the on the internet shows that I need a product which states 'turmeric extract'. I don't need the ones with vitamin D3 as I already take this. Any ideas gratefully received !
