I'm going to be making low-carb "Baileys" tomorrow - Christmas Eve.Woke at 5. Cup of mint tea, then went off again until after 9.
About 10, 1 cold chicken drumstick
About 1, leftover green frittata
Midafternoon 1 bite gingerbread marzipan and 5 small chocolate balls. Took me from 6 to 11.
D: pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon, cooked in airfryer. Cabbage and leek.
1 small scoop coffee ice cream, but hubby poured way too much Baileys over it. No rise...yet!!!
Snap! That is my plan for tomorrow. Made some mince pies today, hm mince meat with lupin/almond pastry, so they should be a nice treat with the hm Baileys. Seriously bad service from Boots, seems they have their brains have shut down for the month.I'm going to be making low-carb "Baileys" tomorrow - Christmas Eve.
The local store is fine. It's HO that's the issue. The service from the Oodie has been awful. I've not made my LC mince pies yet. It might be Boxing Day!Snap! That is my plan for tomorrow. Sorry for you, @MrsA2, that you have very stressful happenings marring your Christmas. As I said before, always worse in December. My Uncle passed away at the beginning of last week, although, of course, I'm very sad, I keep thinking of my poor aunt, cousins & their kids, so much for celebrating.
Dinner was pork shoulder chop with cavolo nero & creamed leeks followed by a mince pie & dollop of cream.
At least the boots look good. You're always so busy, @maglil55, hope you have time before new year! The local store is fine. It's HO that's the issue. The service from the Oodie has been awful. I've not made my LC mince pies yet. It might be Boxing Day!
Ooh, I didn't know there was a light version, definitely need a review of that, please.Re the low carb Baileys,
Lovely hubby has just given me a bottle of Baileys Light. No ingredients shown but apparently 13g per 100ml so a suggested 50ml serving is 6g carbs, still a bit high imho.
I won't try any tonight as sugars still too high from earlier. Will post results when I do get round to trying it..just for you all of course.
I won't tell you then that I find a teaspoon or 2 of the real stuff is just enough to satisfy my craving for a taste, especially if in a lc hot chocolate or over a very small lowish carb ice cream. Any more and I'd spike but a tiny bit is OK, for me. Only you know how much you can trust yourselfOoh, I didn't know there was a light version, definitely need a review of that, please. It is a tad high in carbs but for high days & holidays, ok if it tastes good. I actually have 2 1/2 bottles of the real stuff here, must give them to my sis. I can't believe I haven't touched a drop of it, considering my nickname was Bailey queen!!

The trouble with Baileys, home made or otherwise, one is never enough.Ooh, I didn't know there was a light version, definitely need a review of that, please. It is a tad high in carbs but for high days & holidays, ok if it tastes good. Thanks, you're good, @MrsA2! I sadly wouldn't have the control to just have that amount, so best for me to ignore the 1/2 bottle in my fridge. I did have 'some+' last year & just looked, my average BFG was 7, not bad actually, but as I'm solo, I'll stick to the stand in or it would be too easy, agree with Maglil55 on that, one is never enough.I won't tell you then that I find a teaspoon or 2 of the real stuff is just enough to satisfy my craving for a taste, especially if in a lc hot chocolate or over a very small lowish carb ice cream.
