Big hug for family crisis and superb that you still stuck to low carb scrambled eggSorry missed posting yesterday as was dealing with a family crisis, so dinner was very late, scrambled eggs microwaved and eaten straight from the jug! I’m sure you can all picture this as no photo taken!
Today:
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a phd bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Dinner: gammon steak with roasted Mediterranean veggies.

Thank you. I am familiar with this manoeuvre, but sadly I seem to be one of the 15% - it actually makes me feel 10 times worse for several days. I have betahistine tablets now which seem to be helping a lot, at least I’m not feeling sick now, just drunk and falling over!My wife recently had vertigo for first time ever, after two days of dizzy spells and walking like a drunk, phoned doctor who recommended the "Epley Maneuver" to be found on You tube (Bob and Brad), amazingly it worked immediately. Returned at a lesser level next morning, so we completed the exercise again and hey presto!! It worked !! Apparently it works for about 85% of people with vertigo, we can certainly recommend it.
Scrambled eggs in a jug are a very good comfort food in a crisis. I hope things improve.Sorry missed posting yesterday as was dealing with a family crisis, so dinner was very late, scrambled eggs microwaved and eaten straight from the jug! I’m sure you can all picture this as no photo taken!

My word @DJC3! I could eat a salad like that any month of the year, no matter what the weather was doing. It was tasty but it wasn’t the weather for salad - I was in the mood for a stew really!
Evening @jessj. My fault, I was late posting. Afraid I fell behind this week and have only just caught up with the many interesting posts on this busy thread.ETA: Sorry @LivingLightly, I replied to AnnB & only just caught up & seen your post. It's a shame that Berkswell isn't made any more, not heard of it, but would have tried it. Here's to them passing over their product notes & it or something very similar is made.
Sounds very frustrating. I hope you’re feeling ok now.Diabetes, what are you up to?
I had the same amount of low carb bread (different but similar no carb topping) in the afternoon, the same coffee with skimmed milk in the morning, and the same 2 Belgian beers in the afternoon I had in the past two days, with less insulin on a hunch. BG kept hovering between 4.3 and 3.8 from 4-8 PM, at which point I'd had it and I ate one of the miniature stroopwafels someone sent me to treat hypos.
I figured it would be too much to slightly nudge it up, especially as my last insulin was over 4 hours ago, so I took a very small dose of insulin to go with it.
Wrong!
I made a quick and very unappetising looking but tasty meal from the last of the thick backon, yesterday's leftover cauliflower and onion, a duck egg, and grated cheese, all in the same pan, no insulin, and still went hypo, after shortly going up to 5.5!
Insulin doesn't even work this fast with me, no idea what this is about.
Anyway, my dessert was one of those colourfull sour mats, no messing about with stroopwafels at 3.3, that needs quick acting glucose.

This issue regarding app has been reported to admin.Yes there are, I haven’t changed notification settings. They’ve just stopped coming. It’s happened a few times before but usually starts again with a flurry after a few months. I contacted Tapatalk who said it’s because DCUk haven’t updated the app for a few years.
Thanks, and yes, no problem!Sounds very frustrating. I hope you’re feeling ok now.
I'm so sorry, this sounds really nasty. My eyes are really playing up. I was at the hospital for nearly 4 hours today and I have been diagnosed with cellulitis in the skin round my eyes. I thought you could only get it in your legs and arms. Atm they are gradually swellng up and by morning my right eye will be shut. It's quite painful, hot, itchy and sore.
Thank you, it's very limiting too.I'm so sorry, this sounds really nasty.
I hope things will improve soon!
It can be very confusing, can't it? Obviously dealing with diabetes is not an exact science, an art perhaps? It seems to depend a lot more on whatever else is going on, either physically or emotionally so it's a very hit and miss kind of affair. Glad to hear you got over it quickly. Those sourmats look interesting. Do they have fruit flavours or just sugar flavour? Must be good for a quick fix. Stroopwafels are tempting. I only found them a short time before I was diagnosed with T2 so enjoyed them for a short time and I don't dare buy them in for guests - I know I would binge on them.Diabetes, what are you up to?

That sounds horrible. I didn't know you could get cellulitis in your face either. Bad enough in your legs, which is where mine was/is? Who knows? Hope they manage to sort it out for you quickly.Morning all. And I can say morning because it is 2.35am. I can't sleep. Back to the food. Monday lunch and it was 2 sausages with cabbage, carrot and 1 scoop potato after a small dish of chicken soup. I took my own dessert which is a lemon and lime mousse. Yesterday, because I was at the hospital so long, low carb was impossible. So today it's steak with a poached egg, I've gone off fried eggs. I know my fbg will be high so maybe I won't bother. Have a wicked Wednesday
