What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

@Antje77 happy 47th birthday - looks like difficult choice but it's your birthday what do you fancy the most? The stamppot I'm sure would taste good tomorrow and would be two no real cooking days a birthday pressie to yourself.
Thank you!
I want the Chinese takeaway, but not the added work.
Too bad that's not one of the options.

A very happy birthday, @Antje77 ! I've had more Chinese meals for my birthdays than I care to remember, by choice. So I would go that direction. Especially as you had the long, freezing swim, that must help. Plus, means you don't have to plan tomorrow's dinner, tis all done. I vote go for it & celebrate your birthday with a treat.

Enjoyed my kidney special, even with bought cauli/broc rice. I'm not keen normally, as I find it has a funky taste, it was masked, thankfully.

ETA: I did add some flowers & champagne glasses chinking, the forum didn't like them obviously, they were there, honest!
Cheers! <chink>

Defo one of those days. After a very bad night, made a cup of coffee and then fell and the whole lot ended up on my new memory foam topper.
Chiropractor told me I need to walk more without walker. That gives me spinal pain and I sometimes fall. As for outside I shan't.
Onwards and upwards.

As for food..... not much today. Coffee and cream....
Cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes.

One good thing, new knee let me kneel and eventually get up.

Happy Birthday @Antje77 !

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: liver with onion gravy, cauliflower and green beans.

Ask and ye shall receive!

I'd saved it on my CMT

Hope today was a good one, Antje.

I can't stand snakes either. My feet are instantly instinctively off the floor if one appears on TV.

B: ff greek with chia seeds
L: cold gammon, cheeses and olives. 3 Brazil nuts and a little 70% chocolate
Mid afternoon a coffee shop coffee, supposedly decaff , with a decent amount cream on the side. A nut bar.
D: fish in a mushroom sauce, greens and swede mash. A cc chocolate.
2 glasses white wine

My hostess has milk chocolate everywhere! I have had few bites. Really hard to resist.

Oh dear @RosemaryJackson, another infection to contend with. At least this is not as deep-seated as the cellulitis. I expect the steroid cream contains hydrocortisone and should relieve the swelling and irritation. Wishing you a good night's rest.

I actually love spiders and admire their speed on their beautiful dainty legs. I rescue them when they come in the house (ow the cats eat them) and cup them gently between both palms and release them in the flower bed.
Evening @PenguinMum. I love spiders too. It's amazing how fast they can scuttle, but only for short distances. If your resident spider dashes across the room and then stops in its tracks, it's not sizing you up. It's simply run out of puff!

Happy Birthday @Antje77 whatever you decide and many more happy returns!

Happy belated birthday,@Antje77 . I hope you had a lovely y dinner, whatever it was.

We had the most amazing meal last night. MrB is tasked with replicating it when we get home. It was stir fried string beans and not too hot chillies in a splot of red curry paste. The flavours in the red curry paste - onion, garlic, ginger, galanga, chilli are just fab. Then crispy belly pork dropped in, just to heat and coat in the stir frying paste, and Thai basil added right at the end for that aniseed note. Sublime.

I should have taken a pic, but I just got straight to it.

Thanks everyone!
In the end, I was just about to reheat my stamppot when a couple of neighbours popped in with a bottle of booze.
It's now 3:30 am, and I don't think dinner will happen now.
BG at 4.9 with a straight line according to Libre, I'm a happy birthday bunny with wonderful friends, and I'll have some chicory and hummus and pork scratchings with aioli before turning off the lights I think.

I only just saw this and it’s already labelled “ yesterday”, so happy belated birthday. I hope it was wonderful whatever you decided to eat.
