What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Today Tuesday - thought I was getting slight bug improvement. Bed on 8.5 FBG 8.7 so high but not a big rise but then post school run 9.5. It's not good so it's obviously this sneaky bug. Late breakfast 8.5 not quite 2 hrs after. As I said it goes down slowly.
B. 2 scrambled eggs and 2 rashers crispy bacon. 3 mushrooms.
L. Nothing
D. Diet doctor chilli Salmon but with trout. Steamed spinach and asparagus and salad.
Still drinking water by the gallon

Pre-breakfast - half an avocado in an attempt to stop pre-breakfast rise. Worked to an extent as FBG of 7.7 went down to 7 pre-breakfast, but then I got a rise (to 7.6), whereas I usually drop after breakfast. Running slightly high all day after that.

Breakfast - crestless quiche

Lunch - salad (spinach, rocket, radish, mini plum tomatoes), salami, cheese

Dinner - lamb chops, broccoli, sprouts

So, what do you do when faced by a last minute Broccoli Rebellion?
- not broccoli again! We've had it 3 times in 4 days!

Anyone?
Anyone?
OK, i will tell you.
You toss the hot broccoli in grated cheese, a dash of cream, and a sprinkle of tandoori spices.
And it was much better than i expected! Haha!

So
B: none
L: 2 eggs, 2 bacon rashers
D: 2 sausages and quite a lot of broccoli. An odd meal, but nice enough to have again.

There is defrosted orange rum cake for later - if I need it. Yeah, right!

B. omelet
L. Steak with stir fry
D. Bacon, eggs & mushrooms
After starting the day at a disappointing 7.9 all is now well with a reading of 5.6 after meal.

Yesterdays fare was cheese and onion omelettes for breakfast, pot luck salad for lunch. Lamb forequarter chops and mixed vegies for dinner, with blue berries and Greek yoghurt for desert.

I have never eaten blueberries before till I started on this diet, where have you been all of my life as they are very moorish. :D

Edit: typos

Yes just as well I'm not that fussed ... only use a few in a salad sometimes. Certainly wouldn't be downing a pot every night a la @mo53 at that price :-)

How old is Mr B? Five? LOL. Mr T hates zucchini so I never give it to him but last night he tried my zucchini fritters and he liked them. Amazing what a bit of cheese, chilli and almond flour fried in olive oil will do to a man's tastebuds :-)

Pomegranate pot.
There is a Pomegranate tree / bush just up the street from us, it did not look real healthy last time I looked. The house owner has been away and it has not been watered. Not enough rain either to help it either.

Have got to the end of the day without peanuts :P
L: Left over bolognaise with konjak
D: Shep pie topped with butternut squash mashed and brocolli (for Mr B thats green coli)
A few nuts and a square of 95% choc
2 glasses Carmenere

We are going to have shepherd's pie with mashed Queensland Blue pumpkin instead of mashed spuds. That's when we get round to getting a pumpkin.

Today is an EATING day..... woo hoooooo :)

Breakfast: @maglil55 's go to breakfast - 2 rashers crispy bacon ans 2 scrambled eggs with sour cream and PARSLEY cooked in the bacon fat - and very nice it was, too

Lunch: 2 fillets of mackerel (Asda do VERY nice froze mackerel fillets)

Dinner: Something to do with sausages - probably - with eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes although this depends on what time Mr C thinks he'll get home tonight. If he's going to be late I'll have a tuna and avocado salad and cook the full English just for him when he gets in.

Careful, don't want you getting peanut withdrawal symptoms. ;)

I have horrible visions of the Blue Peter dog made into a pie.

Hello
B. Blackberries with yoghurt

55 minutes swimming

L. Slice of ham spread with Philadelphia cream cheese with chives rolled. Few salt and pepper cashews

D. Roast pork with carrots, onions, cabbage and gravy. Strawberries and raspberries with yoghurt.

Definetly having a pomegranate pot today.

Took 5 hours but finally dropped to 6.6 last time I tested. These 9.5 mornings thanks to the plague are getting a bit much. I may steam myself once the Grandson goes home.
B. As always 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and a dash of cream, 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon, 2 portobello mushroom and a Herta chicken sausage for a change.
L. Was going to be nothing but I still had a portion of the Diet Doctor Chilli trout from yesterday and it is as delicious cold as it is hot.
D. Diet Doctor cheese filled chicken breast with stir fried courgetti (finally got my spiraliser working properly) , aubergine, mini sprouts and asparagus.
Developing an addiction for Hartley's sugar free jellies.
