What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Back to normal working today, so:

Brunch: Lidl Protein Roll sliced in half and toasted with a can of sardines in olive oil mashed on top with a squeeze of lime juice. (Cos I understand sardines are a rich source of B12).

Work meal: Romaine lettuce, three cherry tomatoes, four spring onions and Asda Tikka sliced chicken breast and a tbs Hellmanns mayo

Somewhere in that lot will be three of my homemade truffles. (I will be glad when they've gone as all the while they are in the fridge or freezer they keep calling me.)
 
B - natural wholemilk yoghurt
L - 3 egg omelette with onion & peas, chopped apple & Greek yoghurt
D - 1 Dr Karg cracker with 1/2 avocado, followed by steamed courgette & tomato drizzled with olive oil and pine nuts

Overall was a good day - yippee!
 
B: none
L: Lidl protein roll with bacon & mushrooms, satsuma
D: will be vennison steak and salad, last of the mince pies and cream!!!
S: cashews (while at cinema later)
Glass or two of bubbly at midnight!!
 
B - slept in
L - mashed sardines in olive oil with white wine vinegar, steamed red cabbage & leek
Snack - wholemilk yoghurt & frozen berries
D - chicken & spaghetti squash, with steamed red cabbage, mixed nuts

Evening - taking salad to New Years eve party
 
B: Full English, 2 x coffee
L: not really needed, but I managed to force down some olives, mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes. I am good like that.
D: will be Bratwurst, root veg mash (v small portion) and whatever greenery is needing eating.

There was also a couple of Lindt chocs. :rolleyes:
 
Been neglecting you all while focusing on my new Freestyle Libre toy - which is FAR better than sliced bread!

But am back now. Lol, ready for today's annual mince pie event. :woot:

Yesterday was:
B: coffee cream x2
L: warm crust less quiche
D: huge chicken thigh jalfrezi with cauliflower rice and sugar snaps at which point I sprawled on the sofa for 3 hours thinking I would burst. Fab.

HI @Brunneria I would be interested to read about your new FL toy, if you've posted else where.... sorry.
 
Same old
B: celery, nuts, cheese and olives
L: 3 egg om with left over gammon...
D: Slow roasted lamb, aubergine in a tom sauce... with a glass of red wine... NYE and all that and that.

L: coffee n cream, chicken leg, ham

D: mince, sour cream, broccoli, cauliflour, cheese sauce

S: coffee n cream, ham, coke zero
 
Using up whats in the cupboard & fridge:-

No breakfast - slept in
L - mashed sardines with white wine vinegar, steamed red cabbage & leek
D - wasn't very hungry - wholemilk yoghurt & frozen berries
Supper - fried egg in butter, celery stick
 
B: none!
L: 2 fried eggs, fried mushrooms, 3 slices bacon
D: pork chop, 2 tiny new potatoes, green beans, cauliflower with grated cheese, raspberries & Greek yoghurt
S: a few pecans, Brazil nuts, 75% chocolate, ham bits!!! Naughty day!!
 
B: 2 x coffee n cream

L: creamy broccoli n cauliflour, chicken leg

D: hamburger made with 2 oopsie rolls, mince patty, an egg and roasted broccoli and cauliflour

S: coffee n cream, LC fudge slice, ham, mustard
 
Yesterday was challenging. lol.

B: coffee, cream and a Full English. Second day in a row, and boy did I NOT need it. Ended up leaving more than half.
L: not needed
D: off to see the Star Wars film with good friend who REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted a KFC. Tried to dissuade her (our local KFC specialises in grease) but failed. So we rolled up and ordered a bargain bucket to share.
To my astonishment :wideyed: the chicken was excellent. Ended up eating lots, and half a portion of not-excellent chips.

Then I discovered that I had left my meter at home and couldn't watch the BG saga unfold...

But the film was good! ;)

Today has, so far, been a gentle inbibement of coffee and cream to let my bg flatline again... I shall enjoy some vegetables this evening. By the plateful.

Yesterday
B: sausages and scrambled egg
L: beef and stilton pie, cauliflower mash, broccoli, sautéed leeks; plum and almond sponge pudding with cream. (Pie was bloomin' gorgeous:hungry: Did eat a bit of the pastry but will be eating the left over filling without pastry!)
S: peanut butter fudgy stuff

Today
B: fried egg, bacon, Ugg bread toast
L: low carb crackers and stilton (get the idea that I have a lot of stilton left over from Christmas?! Intend to make broccoli and stilton soup too)
D: will be baked trout with creamed cabbage, almonds and cranberries
 
Went off track today as eating out, so walked for about an hour afterwards:-

B - wholemilk yoghurt & berries
L - 'all-day vegetarian breakfast' - one poached egg, one slice buttered sourdough toast, two fried mushrooms, one fried tomato & some sauteed potatoes
D - olives, macadamia nuts, orange

S - mackerel fillets in tomato sauce

S. Glass milk 1.1/2 rich tea biscuits
L. Hard boiled egg, 4 gherkins, 1 tomato, other 1/2 Lidl pro. Roll
D. 4 chipolatas. 6 pieces roasted potatoes (1 third of a jacket potato)
Carrot &I swede mash. Plain yogurt with Sweet Freedom. Water
 
B. Mug of white coffee with sweetener.
L. Mug of white tea with sweetener. Two buttered toasted slices of wholemeal & oat bread with Ardennes pate.
S. Sirloin steak, one potato cubed and roasted with garlic and red onion, cauliflower and broccoli. 2 squares G&B 85% dark chocolate.

A couple of Sula sweets, some walnuts and hazelnuts.
Two 187ml bottles of Australian Merlot and some Brie.
