Brunneria, thanks for your thoughts. I have recently dropped my carbs to <20 and decreased my protein. I am hungry all the time.
My FB this morning was high...Real high. 154
I don't know what I am doing wrong. During the day I run 90-118.
Have you heard of Dawn Phenomenon? It gets me every morning.
Have a read of this, and the thread I link to in it, should explain a lot...

Re the protein and hunger.

Today has been pretty unpleasant. Ended up eating some chips half way through a dog walk, which were delicious, but that is beside the point. I was teetering on the edge of hypo.
This has kind of floored me. For the past year, I have been virtually hypo free. Very low carbing merrily, happy with my diet, my BG. For the first 6 months, I was very slowly losing weight (20 lbs) then the weight loss stopped. I think that was when I introduced protein creep - because I discovered how fab steak was, and started eating it every time we went out, and felt FAB on it, so ate a bit more meat at home, and felt fab on that too...
Now, suddenly, I am cutting back and getting hypos. Maybe it is a touch of carb flu, but if you had asked me, I would have said I was pretty steadily in ketosis, for the last year, with only a day or two, here and there when I wasn't. Will have to give it a couple of weeks and see if things settle.
Today:
B: coffee with lots of cream
L: leftover curry, sugarsnaps, with cream on top. yeah, I know.
S: 9 chips
D: pulled brisket with green beans, strawbs and cream
