What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Have been ravenous today, so:
Breakfast - bacon, mushrooms and two fried eggs, coffee with cream.
Lunch - tofu and cheese salad with mayo, berries and yogurt
Tea - a sort of halloumi stir fry with a little quinoa and lots of chilli pickle.

Haven't added it all up but reckon it's about a million calories.

Pre-breakfast? Coffee with cream. I doubled it this morning and it stayed with me much longer.
Breakfast (late morning)- 2 hardboiled eggs and bacon
Lunch (late afternoon)- salad with veggies, pork belly, blue cheese, hardboiled egg, and sliced turkey. It sounds like a lot of protein, but it was only about 1 oz of each.

I may eat a snack later, but no evening meal for me.

Blimey!
Half a bar did that? That's only about 6g carbs.

The only thing I get that kind of reaction is wheat. A single slice of bread would do that to me, but I think I'm wheat intolerant
- you don't have a peanut (or other nut/seed) intolerance, do you?

I'm so sorry it didn't work for you.
Aww fanx!

Am going to have another go at them tomorrow and again, have half, and try to test at 1 and 2 hrs as didnt get chance to today...

If, after that its not working out, at least I tried lol

B Groats with coconut oil, butter etc, usual mix of everything I could find
L Lots of different salad leaves with leftover "mediterranean" meat platter, sun-dried tomatoes in spiced oil & mayo
D 2 lamb loin chops + the fat off Mrs DeeJay's chops, & more mixed salad & mayo
S Rhubarb fool (whizzed with yoghurt, cream & raspberries, tsp sweetener, sprinkle of dark choc)
S Phoopsies (see above) tested with various toppings. Just butter & salt is nice. Necessary comforter to accompany Mrs DeeJay's toast with peanut butter and jam after kayaking. Her, not me.

Yesterday was a leftovers day: I only had meatloaf, grilled peppers and cucumber/yoghurt salad throughout. There's one slice left for lunch today, and the other half of the loaf is in the freezer :)

Plan for today:
Pre-Breakfast- coffee with lots of cream (ahhh...coffee is the sweet nectar of life, is it not?)
Breakfast- hardboiled eggs and bacon
Lunch- smoked salmon w/ pesto and cucumber salad with sour cream & dill (weird mix of flavors, but it sounded good)
Dinner- bunless burger w/ mayo/olives, grilled asparagus w/ butter, a few strawberries

I am really trying to increase my fat, as the scale seems to move more when I do.

Breakfast.....scrambled eggs
Lunch...Salmon, spinach, tomato and mayo
Dinner...Premium beef burger...(no bun of course)... tomato, mushrooms and a little onion...all cooked in butter
Few raspberries with No added sugar jelly

B Greek yoghurt with raspberries
L Scrambled egg on one slice of Burgen with grilled tomatoes, granny smith apple
S Handful of brazil nuts, half an avocado
D Chicken soup with mushrooms and onions cooked in butter yum!

B: 4 tiny sausages wrapped in bacon. One of Mr B's purchases, so not the best quality, but by heck they were delish! + coffee with cream.
L: hummus and a coyo
D: lamb steak in garlic and rosemary, pan fried in butter (4.5 mins) and mountains of sugarsnaps (steamed in 2.5 mins). Could anything be better?
No snacks!

May have berries or LC hot choc later.
Decisions, decisions...

Could not have breakfast until 11.30am due to not being able to eat for medical reasons, but I made up for it as follows:

A very cheeky digestive biscuit because I went a bit low, followed by a crustless quiche and some houmous with pepper sticks

Late lunch: Prawn cocktail salad with avocado and olive oil dressing, 2 squares 90% dark chocolate

Tea: Another crustless quiche with half a round of goats cheese melted on top - yum, salad and avocado

Supper: A bit more 90% chocolate perhaps.......

Drinks: Loads and loads of water

It's yoghurt made entirely from coconut milk, so dairy free. I've tried the vanilla and chocolate, the chocolate one is lush. Quite low on carbs, too. It is also quite expensive, I only buy it when it's on offer in waitrose

Thanks Tweety! Being American, you would not believe how many times I have had to Google words that I read on this site. :) I couldn't find coyo, though.

Last week, I finally discovered that courgette is zucchini.

B: Greek yoghurt full fat with 10 blueberries, cinnamon, vanilla and flaked almonds.
11: coffee and 10g 85%
D: spinach and Parmesan tortilla, salad of romaine, black olives, and a couple of baby tomatoes, in vinaigrette.
S: after yoga class, small bowl of yellow split pea soup with herbs, one mini quichelet. Unsweetened coffee pecan ice-cream

Breakfast-----Dr ice coffee, 1 cream no sugar
Lunch----12 pm. 3/4 cup stoneyfield L/f yogurt 2 med size strawberries
Submersible plate of salad w/ 2oz chicken

@JMW

Good to see you back again! :D

But I have to ask, are you eating enough? Those portions look tiny.
I couldn't stick to that regime for a day.
You must have the self discipline of a... a... very self disciplined person!
