scandi that sounds good - a different way of using mince - thanks!

Brunneria hubby was going to make that pizza for me yesterday but in the end made a concoction of aubergine, tomato, mushroom, courgette and cheese. I will have that pizza one day!
That sounds more like my kind of food. I make a lush ratatouille with Brie. Fry mushrooms and onions in garlic butter then add in peppers, courgettes and aubergine. Add mixed herbs, salt and pepper and fresh thickly sliced tomatoes as well as a splash of chilli sauce. Simmer for 10 mins. Divide into 2. Put half in oven proof dish and cover with a layer of Brie. Put rest of mix on. Cover with another layer of Brie and bake in ove for 10-15 mins or until cheese has melted and gained colour. Yum. In the past mopped up with crusty bread but not any longer!

Lush apple and cinammon cake with cream. Don't normally eat apples, but have frozen heaps and loads for others and still had excess!! Think its only going to be 25g carb. So as had meat n veg for main dinner, can afford to have

Bad day yesterday and today
Fresh start next week, and back in the gym at lunchtime, seem to be hanging around 8-10 BG and feel like ****, got sore throat and had bad week so really need to change.

Breakfast was a pot of prawn cocktail with a few baby spinach leaves
Lunch was some brie and 5 cherry toms
Dinner roast chicken leeks and cabbage stir fried with dollop of butter

Breakfast: 100g full fat Greek yoghurt with chopped mixed nuts, strawberries, blueberries and a slice of melon.
Lunch: roast chicken, bacon rolls and mini sausages with mashed buttered swede, carrots, green beans and cauliflower. Glass of white wine.
Snack: 20g (2 squares) 85% dark chocolate.

I just noticed something that may or may not be news to people. Haricot beans have 14g of carbs per 100g which is less than Heinz baked beans, so the sauce must be lower carb than the beans.

Breakfast bacon, poached egg, mushrooms
Lunch leftover tandoori chicken salad and cheese
Dinner slow cooked brisket with carrots and swede in oniony gravy, cauli cheese mash, Savoy cabbage, tbsp peas.
Snack too much 75% chocolate. Going to have to buy 90% one now as I can eat the lower numbers like they were dairy milk. Not a problem for BS but will slow weight loss if I keep indulging.

Eggnbacon
Coffeencream
Crustless quiche and salmon mousses stuff (on special at Tescos. Yum)
Meatballs, tom sauce, baked Mediterranean veg
Berriesncream

HAD to stuff myself to avoid the carb cravings! Honest!

Plus I'm nursing a nasty blister on the heel following a dog walk yesterday in my winter walking boots. So comfort eating. ;)

Didn't expect a problem, because those boots are very well broken in.
However, it turns out that the lining is coming away. So not only do I have a blister the size of a 50p piece, I also need new boots.

Blister already healing, so no cause for alarm. Just annoyance!

I really like all the food ideas I have seen on here , thank you for all your contributions . I must say some people eat such interesting meals , it makes me keen to try new things . Thanx

i am a lazy...

as usual 4 eggs, 2 tbs butter and black coffee for breakfast.
tea was some salmon, 3 tbs butter and cherry tomatoes on a bed of baby butterhead lettuce with 4 tbs drizzle of garlic infused olive oil.

Today, so far, I have had:
Green tea and lemon, creamy decaf coffee with coconut oil. An avocado halved and topped with cheese, grilled (this is my latest breakfast creation and I'm really loving it, especially drizzled with olive oil!)
Did not prepare lunch so grabbed a whopper from Burger king (no relish), left all of the bun except a mouthful to taste.
Snacks- cashew nuts, sunflower seeds and a slice of turkey
Tea will be stirfry and salmon

Can't make up my mind what to have for dinner, either some butter fried thinned slice beef (usually ideal for bbq, but not in this weather) with home made bearnaise sauce or taco spiced beef mince with avocado, Will probably be beef with bea sauce and some cheese for dessert.

B- Egg omlette. Made with carrots, mushrooms, peas, green beans, red onions, garlic lightly fried in extra virgin olive oil. A large mugs of coffee.
L-Steamed mix veg with Jerk Chicken and a Portion Controlled slice of my home made carrot cake
D- leftovers from lunch
Diet pepsi.

Snacks 30g (uncooked weight) home made popcorn olive oil used, hand full of roasted Monkey nuts.

breakfast bacon, mushrooms, scrambled egg
lunch 85% chocolate ( 4 small sqs) and 2 slices ham off deli counter as out
dinner 97% sausages, lean gammon steak , fried egg and mushrooms

The buuter and eggs sound nice.

;)[/QUOTE]That all sounds very mice. But what is a 9 bar?

oops 9 bar pressure coffee?
Duh. Sorry.
Noooo
Just google 9bar.
A 9bar is a yummy nutty seedy bar that has about 15 g carbs in it - but because they're all nutty and seedy, they don't impact my BG more than a smidge.

At 3.30 today I was peckish, and had one of these:

And an hour later, my BG had risen by 0.1 mmol/L (from 5.4 to 5.5) :singing::wacky::p
Of course they are also rather small

Hooray for the nutty gooey gorgeousness that is the 9 bar!
Am I allowed to sound like an advert? Cos I can't help myself. :):):)
