What question would annoy you the most?

Is it well controlled? (impies that this is possible once you have sussed it out and got the perfect doses of insulin which as a type 1 is not possible)

Oooh do you have to inject?? (cue story of their needle phobia and how they couldn't be as 'brave'). I pump in my insulin so not much bravery is needed and the jabs were never the worst thing anyway.

I wasn't really annoyed. More relieved.
Situation: I told my old, and not-quite-so-sharp-anymore-dad a white lie about why I'd been in hospital for 5 days. I wanted to spare him the worry, and told him it was because of my diabetes, which he already knew about. I didn't want him to know about my lung embolisms.
His reaction: Ah, your diabetes ... That's not so serious.
Mission accomplished

"Have you tried losing weight/cinnamon/eating vegetarian/whatever? My grandma's best friends neighbors uncle did that, and now they don't have diabetes anymore."
When I ask them how that would regrow my beta-cells they usually shut up.
