I took a great interest in this from the start.
So apologies if others are equally aware,
But the transition of the virus from an airways issue, now seems to have turned into it being a more blood borne attack.

And the rise in children being affected by a rare disease is also worrying..

This must certainly is not the " just flu" some

Good morning everyone from a fair to middling morning in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of roast chicken married with fennel and tomatoes came in at an interesting 4.3 this am

Our annual family weekend was scheduled to start tomorrow - this year based in Llanberis which is where our first one started, ten years ago. We do this every May Bank Holiday (unless the govt fiddles with dates) to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Trust having lost my nephew to that awful disease at the age of 21. So, we are all on Zoom on Saturday for our quiz, so far 38 of us, can’t let a virus spoil that. Forfeit rules are being now being finalised, teams organised and tally sheets sent out for how much each of us has to donate in hard cash terms when the scores are counted after each round. Just a bit of fun as it will all be evened out in the end.

As I said, it contains apricot stone flour so has a slight taste of apricot. Very light but toasts really well and keeps some time - I usually eat it within 5 days but should keep a week. Egg mayo and cress sandwiches for lunch today:)
I need to thank @maglil55 for putting me on to this. She is the best cook/chef on here by some distance IMHO. BTW @maglil55 I saw/heard the Hibs fans rendition of Sunshine on Leith ( Cup final win over Rangers) this morning - sensational. Hope I'm right form Mr Magli.

For me, yes. The best I have found so far. YMMV. These people have really good products - Christmas/cinnamon cookies are really good and they do bread. Their chocolate is very low carb - I really like the almond one - 9 of those arrived today. The ordinary/plain ketochoc really tastes of the sweetener used - eryth (which I really dislike so much I won't even type it fully).

All of this is obviously just my opinion and tastes (and my control is poor). Company is very efficient though.

Don't think I posted my FBGs here, they were 5.6 this this morning. I have had a morning of lovely interruptions, facetime from my near son, skype from my far away son. Both families doing well - one son got a new job.

Thank you everyone for your hugs in respect of my friend, they are greatly appreciated. I feel for those at the front end who are living this type of thing everyday.

Govt should hold to the principles they aspire to.

Step in, help if you can or if not at least ensure it gets as much attention as possible so some lives are saved at some point..

And obvious the morning of lovely interruptions have had a very cathartic effect..

And I think we all feel that at the moment @Ryhia

In what seems an unreal experience when you gaze around outside, to then see the full horror night street night on the news..truly appalling .

That was actually released some time ago and just re-released. Both times it quietly went out into the public arena during something 'more important'. As was pointed originally in the science mags, the US basically said: "yes, non-terrestrial craft exist". In another five years (maybe) they can open-heartedly say "we told you aliens exist ages ago, you didn't pay attention".

Covid was used to take attention away from the craft ;)
 
Good afternoon...had a shopping expedition this morning for my normal weekly shop....

Got back totally knackered.
Got the food and veg I set out to get....
And water...
It was hard work, and the queues were all at the tills, 20 people in a queue for the till at Iceland. Only one til lady was on duty. There were other staff in the shop stocking shelves and talking and having conversations with each other. Under normal circumstances, if I had to wait in a queue then I would drop my basket to the floor (to make a point) and walk out, but I needed the blinking shopping...

Social distancing was nil this morning. People reached over me or others as I was picking something off the shelf. Bodily contact was rife. No one was following the obvious one way system, and even moved baskets at the end of the aisle because they couldn't be bothered observing the one way system.

I had other shops to do as well. I was drop dead shattered when I got home. And went out like a light...

Going back to have a look at the thread...

And then back to sleep...
