I have just seen what my post said, sorry gremlins again it should have said 'Good light and colour captured very well in this one' sorry should have not been in such a rush.Thank you for the compliment @Muddy Cyclist
A great sketch with the oil pastels...I will have to get mine out for a try...
The queue jumper was a man using an electric wheelchair. So absolutely impossible to say anything. That sounds completely stressful @SlimLizzy
It was extremely bad manners anyway to queue jump in front of you, but when you leave the required distance people are doing that now. Happened to me on Friday.
But what do you do?
Saying something can cause an incident.
I am also finding there is only one till operator on duty now, instead of several, this causing. long queues.
It doesn't make sense.
Lovely painting with echoes of Monet.@gennepher sunrise, sunset.... becoming your signature masterpieces, love them. Good light no colour very week captured in this one..
I have had such a busy day, no really I have, bike ride, front garden weed, Campervan polish, daughter all afternoon for front garden social distance visit, preparing skinny pizza for tea. So no watercolour but a quick oil pastel study for my next watercolour, Woodland Pools. I decided the Canson Rough Cotton Paper I'm using needs a more abstract approach so this is a study for just that.... on black paper again and done outside whilst getting my vitamin D. A4 about 15 mins.

I find doing studies helps with the watercolour creation even though the finished work may be nothing like the study.

Thank you for the compliment @geefull@gennepher - you've given us a lovely strong sky againbut I feel bound to say I don't see a teddy bear in the clouds, I see a cat I'm jealous (see below vv)
art catch up for today -
bit of a disaster this one, I fiddled about with it and created mud in the left hand part of the sea, then I tried to take some of the mud off and ended up damaging the paper surfaceso much for my attempt at a dramatic sunset sky
very good picture - the damage isn't visible on my kindle. It looks absolutely fine.good evening all
was 4.6 this morning
did not sleep well last night, it took me ages to get off to sleep but it's been a pleasant day here so all is well
Italian meatballs went down well with broccoli and cauli on the side for me and a few oven chips and peas added for mr gee and mum
It's turned into a misty evening here so no spectacular dawn or sunset for artistic inspiration.
Lots of people walking dogs today whilst it was calm and mild, all friendly socially distancing and chatting across the road with each other
Hope your day is treating you well
@Muddy Cyclist interesting and colourful study and I'm looking forward to your next painting and to seeing how you work with the texture of the Canson paper.

Not necessarily, art is in the eye of the beholder., enjoy your teddy bear.@geefull and @gennepher, the rounded ears seem more teddy bear than cat to me. But, if the Artist says it's a cat. That's what it is.
Glad all is now well. Interesting to read of your bg's bouncbackability. Is that like the famous and controversial Somogyi phenomenon but produced by your friendly liver? (I have often wondered if my body does similar). Just to add from my post alluding to Wimbledon: much as I love sport I find it offensive that people are pushing for the return of professional sport.5.6 this morning. Not a bad number as I had a hypo in the night. I though I would as I kept drifting into the 3s during yesterday. Didn't correct it overnight as I never drop below 3.0. Was pleased that my liver didn't overcorrect this morning and release a huge amount of glucose like it usually does.
Feel a lot better after breakfast and coffee - now off to walk the dogs.
Early morning up high in the woods.Today's pastel painting is a misty scene, from my box of source material of photos, clippings, and odds and ends.
Soft pastels on pale grey paper.
Took just over an hour.
