What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It seems you have very good preventative strategies in place.

You had a good day, but I still imagine you were pretty exhausted by the time you got home.

That liquid resist doesn’t seem easy to use. I have some, bought it for my art group, but it’s probably gone solid now because we didn’t find it easy to use. It tended to take some paper off with it.

I love your painting and the colours.

I had a better night. I got some sleep. I feel more human today.

I was in a bad place yesterday. The pain was scary. I have not been in that much pain for many years. All my alternative therapies and treatment I explored and I went for, and my own strategies, all contributed to my pain being manageable for me. I have been doing this since the 1990s. Because conventional medicine and therapies didn't do much for me.

There were times when I got to the edge, or even slightly over the edge with all the physical pain.

I do treat myself, I'm a trained therapist in a few things. J was trained in the same things, so we treated each other, as well as receiving treatment from other people. But after he died, I went to other people for my reiki and reflexology. And this helped to manage my pain as well.

But since lockdown, none of this kind of diect treatment was possible from others. It took me a long time to find practitioners here, that I came away feeling good after the treatment. Not every practitioner is the same.

What happens now with all the different alternative therapies and treatments? I am asking this as a general question.

I think I have some more researching and exploring to do.

I have some links for some more stuff this weekend, an online conference, so I will be busy trying to get my Android phone to transcribe some of these talks into captions. But that depends on the quality of the speech, how fast they talk, their accents etc. And maybe half of the captions are useless, so I get gibberish captions. If I find a clear speaker who doesn't talk at the rate of an express train, then the Android transcribe might give me 80% accuracy. I have to guess the rest, but that is a bit hard with a new (to me) specialized subject. I do think it's ridiculous when they don't provide subtitles or captions with their videos.

Good morning everyone on this Lesser Festival for Benedict of Nursia. My fbg was shown as 4.4 on two different devices which scanned the libre sensor. Super salmon avo salad will do that to a body. Obviously that is fine if accurate. I would very much like to "get with" the whole LC/keto test thoroughly program but I'm missing the external validation. I need a couple of "good" A1cs and full blood counts first. My idea of beauty in nature and a very good idea of what makes me as I am was brought home last night in an excellent TV programme https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000kjrl/a-wild-year-series-1-2-the-fens *- terroir is all it seems. @geefull that wicked city sounds hopeful and @gennepher I'm glad you slept better.. Muddy Bike Ride calls as the sun is shinning, I will go early to miss the weekend mayhem. Then try and rescue a very rain and wind damaged garden from the last three days of battering.

Artwork looks fantastic. Granddaughter well disciplined. Now, that bread. Did you guess ratios or follow a recipe, did it turn out like bread and, if eaten, how did your bg react please? If you are a good boy I'll let you enjoy your coffee

Bread - I had a large fat slice, toasted and smothered in butter, at 1400, reading was 5.1. My bs went up to 5.7 and after two hours down to 5.2. Recipe was from a friend:

Low(er) Carb Sunflower & Chia Seed Loaf

(You can make this using just FibreFlour, but I find it a bit “cakey” and prefer the 50/50 mix for a better texture.)

250g FibreFlour
250g strong white bread flour
14g dried yeast
10g wheat gluten
3 tbsp olive oil
300g tepid water (you may need a little more - dough needs to be quite soft)
Salt
Sunflower seeds
Chia seeds

Sprinkle a handful of sunflower seeds, chia seed and FibreFlour into a proving basket.

Mix dry ingredients and seeds, add oil and water, mix to form a dough. Knead on a lightly floured board for about 8 minutes. Form into a ball and press into proving basket.

Cover and prove for 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Set (fan) oven to 170 degrees C. (You may need it a little hotter if you don’t have a fan oven.) Placek an empty baking tray on the floor of the oven.

When fully proved, tip dough gently onto a baking tray lined with silicone paper, with the seeds on the top. Spritz with olive oil spray.

Put in oven, add a cupful of cold water to the hot empty baking tray and bake for 30-45 minutes. (45 min to an hour if just using the fibreflour).

Sprinkle a light dusting of flour over the finished loaf and cool on a wire rack.

After working magnificently for a couple of days my pancreas collapsed in an exhausted heap this morning.

4.5 last night. 6.2 this morning and 8.2 after breakfast. It will be interesting to see just how long it takes to get back to working properly.

Am relaxing with a coffee. Have got a three hour lecture on the Psoas muscle - am really looking forward to it
