I can sympathize Geefull,
We have a kingsize oak bed with brutal bold square legs with sharp square corners. The times I have got out of bed in the night and clouted my little toe with the bed not moving at all. You can probably hear me saying, "flipping heck!"
I say little toe, but I take size 15's in shoes!

First time since mid March I went to the pharmacy for my tablets today. Have not been to shops yet. I was the only one waiting wearing a mask.
There is very little social distancing or mask wearing in Cumbria. I hope it changes, they have had covid in four pubs in Carlisle recently and too many new cases.

Afternoon and evening and BBQ (cooked own food) was extremely pleasant and fun to be with both of our kids and grandchildren. Since last family BBQ I noticed this time social distancing amongst us as a family is now even less and my kids are always over protective of Mrs MC and I and make an effort. It's difficult as we are social animals and anyway how can you push young grandchildren away, they are excited to see us in the flesh, want to share all they have been up to with great exuberance, want us to take part in games, races, skipping, yes me too I can still run in, skip and run out of turning ropes and even do it when two ropes are in use, grandaughters impressed, as was I. I did draw a line at trampoline activities, games of Twister and the hot tub. Lots of guitar playing and singing, story telling and fun, most enjoyable.

Managed to do an A5 sketch with coloured pencils and pens whilst sitting in son's back garden. In the farmers field behind the cottage there is a gap in the Hedge and here it is, two of my Grandaughters also did the same drawing but sadly I have not got photos of them.



PS, (edit) In our family as I suspect in others, we are probably more at risk of catching the virus from them than from any other source. Our Sons two daughters spend a week with him then a week with their mom and her new partner, sons new partners theee boys spend weekends with their dad and his new partner, son is a farrier and sees lots of people every day. Daughter and SIL teachers although now on holiday but they see SILs two brothers and their children regularly. Contact tracers nightmare and our responsibility to best risk asses, take precautions, be aware and hopefully dodge the virus, living the new normal which is not going to change.

MrSlim will be home this weekend.
Shopping yesterday bought white bread, cake, biscuits and croissants was well as ham and cheese.
The garden has let me down and I will have to buy a lettuce and some radish. Actually i think the last bag of compost has insufficient nutriments. Neither the radish or lettuce planted in it are doing as well as expected, being really tiny still after five weeks growing.
The List looms large now, but it's obvious will not be completed and I find this doesn't really bother me - it was always more for me than him.

4.3 this morning. The lowest since coming off insulin. Definitely looks like the dawn phenomenon has given up the ghost. It's only taken nearly 4 years. I wonder if that is a record.

The wonder wheel of finishing off a chicken - and then eating it - came in at 5.2 this am

Off to the little house on the prairie this morning - youngest son will be turning up with the ninky nonks for a couple of days later on so that should be fun. Everything to be raised above 4 foot if you value it. Fireguards at the ready, child locks that don’t really work any more on the kitchen cupboards and the fridge.

@gennepher, @geefull - I find plumb blossom the most difficult of the ‘four gentlemen’ - bamboo, plum blossom, orchid, chrysanthemum - my mother, who painted bamboo for an hour each day for 40 years tells me to keep practicing.
@geefull - great hills, storm clouds and lightening. I do like your letterbox paintings. Toe - ouch, ooch. - Done the same so many times.
@Muddy Cyclist = Excellent sketch, I do like this mode of art, fine pen work combined with colour works so well.

An attempt at some landscape today - no idea where it is but we do have a distinctive cone shaped hill nearby called Roseberry Topping so maybe that is in the background.

Good morning everyone. L Reader (self defined as ?) issued a delayed report claiming my fbg was 4.7. Frankly risible but these are strange times. OMAD day yesterday ended with 3 sections. Steak, halloumi fries, mushrooms and salad was good. I had to organise a search party to find the DGF slice/thingy that was hiding in my bowl - no wonder people lose weight with their portions. They need tracking devices. Jarlsberg to mask the erythritol aftertaste but the eryth abomination loosened things nicely and quite rapidly Great artwork @Muddy Cyclist and @dunelm. Yesterday with the children and grandchildren sounds magical MC and the coming days sound very special D. Fantatsic fbg and disappearing DP @Krystyna23040 but sadly no record. I've been at this five years and it hasn't worked yet at any point in the day. Julie is off to Holkham beach with DIL and 2 grandchildren. I'm Holkhamed out plus there is cricket, pups, deliveries and I need much tea.
Edit: Wrong day for cricket (what happened to Thursday starts and E W Swanton?) - still don't want to go to Holkham.

Morning...not a massive amount of sleep but certainly better than the previous night...cant believe it's Thursday already!...busy day head shopping being delivered and now we've confirmed Georgia is coming for a visit next week need to start getting her room ready...man coming tomorrow to give a quote for the new connecting gate in the garden the one Harry ate his way through...so it's all go here...off to make another coffee...woke to a 6.5...keep safe everyone.

Oh what a shame - I was going to claim the world record.

At least I still have the world record for the amount of coffee drunk in one day.
