What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Yes it did feel very safe and the paths along the Terraces at Powis are very narrow so one way is the only option if social distancing is going to be met. Last year when in Norfolk we visited Vicarage Gardens, not NT but we were very impressed with the scale and diversity of the planting. The very narrow and maze of paths in those gardens I imagine will make it very difficult for the owners to open up again. Strange new times and ways we are all adapting too.
We have never been to Vicarage Gardens so I looked them up - they do look lovely. We have been in Norfolk for 44 years and there are so many places we still haven't been to.

Quick, quick, quickly went the morning call in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of sea food platters, outside tables overlooking the sea and grandchildren ordering via the ‘app’ for the ‘boomers’ came in at 5.3 this am.

Up and out this morning. Thank you so much for your encouraging artwork remarks - a quick sketch this morning trying for some plum blossom. Have a great day if you can - koffy.

Here we are again, bobbing up and down. First indication of fbg shown by Libre was 5.0 - very meh even if accurate/true but life goes on. For this (LC?Keto) to have longevity I need 2 consecutive good A1cs to satisfy myself it deals with what it claims to. Then I can make a start on the food problem i.e. can I turn it into something I may enjoy and still do the job?. Great artwork, multi generational meals eaten and planned, Hurculean efforts in the garden - I'm exhausted just reading it all. More tea needed.

I can feel all that energy being released in this sketch, some nice brush strokes. Enjoy your day sounds like yesterday with family was a success.

Tesco shop survived so far, 2 days from mask deadline and even less people wearing them today.

I have to help recently widowed neighbour who yesterday fell for a Virgin Media Scam and downloaded Anydesk software onto computer and caught out by refund scam. She wants me to remove software and check for virus, this is OK but she is hopeless at social distancing and meets lots of different people who seem to constantly visit her so a bit concerned but how can one refuse to help, humanity and society can't be allowed to fall apart over fear of getting this virus, I must just take all precautions without looking overkill.

I agree @Muddy Cyclist Despite the Covid-19 we must retain our humanity. I would be doing the same as you.

Could you ask her to wear a mask while you are there? If she doesn't have one, then ask her to wear a scarf over mouth and nose. I would try that.

A few weeks ago in my local area (which seems a bit like dog eats dog area), I was getting my mobility scooter out of my car, and this able bodied guy, keeping his distance away from me, laughed and said he couldn't help me because of the social distancing (I wasn't expecting others to help me) and carried on laughing and stood watching me (and I was beginning to struggle with someone openly watching me) in not a nice way.

By contrast yesterday, in this nice town, an elderly gentleman (older than me) got out of his car, and insisted on helping me when I opened the boot to get the mobility scooter out. I let him, and thanked him. He had me almost in tears when I got back to my car awhile later, he had waited all that time in his car, because he said he wanted to help me get the mobility scooter back in the car. And he did.

There are some beautiful people on this earth.

Late on parade again and again very busy, hence no time to catch up or down on posts.....humble apologies.

A 6.7 yesterday and a straight 7.0 this morning.

A few of you know I have a keen interest in physics, little understanding.
Here's an interest fact, there is quite a debate going on over dark matter, is it cold dark matter or hot dark matter. Does it really matter?
I have just spent part of this afternoon reading about string theory, but what really stretched my mind was elasticated string theory.

Thanks. Tricky one this plum blossom - my mother says ‘more practice’ - yes Sifu.
Dinner with grandchildren went well - we had to rely on the skill of our 11 year old grandson to work his magic on the food and drink order app for which he was resoundly applauded for not making a single errory.

Always more practice!

Did you get his phone number? ;):joyful:

We've moved on alf. Gusset theory is all the rage these days.

good evening all :)

was 4.7 this morning

started my day in 'klutz' mode today, heading for the kitchen for coffee and dunted my middle toe on the footstool (which, of course, was sitting exactly where it always sits :(), result, one black and blue toe and a stiff knee because of the 'knee jerk' reaction, (plus a fine display of multi lingual naughty words :hilarious:).

Oh well, we still went weekly shopping and also managed to get some grass cut at mum's before we get the forecast showers.

going to water the garden stuff that's in pots and tubs just in case the showers don't materialise then I'm going to soak my foot in an epsom salt bath :D

Hope your day treats you kindly :)

@dunelm - pretty plum blossom in your sketch today, the trees are so iconic but I find them difficult.

@gennepher - nice controlled sketch today, saying a lot with a few strokes :)
glad you met a 'friend' whilst you were shopping :)

@Muddy Cyclist - looks like a lovely visit, very impressive especially with effective care measures. 'Wilfred' appears to be worth his weight in gold ;)
Your trees are impressive and mrs MC looks charming and cool in her summer dress.

@alf_Josiah - devilish stuff that string ;) might I commend Dr Tim Blais to you for fun if nothing else

art bit -
a couple more small letterboxes

ouch..done that week one or two of joining here.
panic ..will i lose my toes..AGGHH.

hope your gets better..Mine did.:)

and WOW..great video.
had a friend.. lecturer in quantum physics.
Nice guy.

so when slightly drunk we discussed infinity..(Bad move by me )

seems simple enough.
human size the earth had a limit.
circles etc.
so the universe has a limit...right

NO NO No..says he

so anyway thays were he left me with a headache thinking about it
he insisted it was simple if i just accepted..X=yxz to the power of 2 ..or something.

i kept seeing, no matter how small the room/world/universe/infinity..

you hit a wall.
OR come back to where you started, depending on how you view things.

but from what he said...Infinity...wow.
how are people SO smart

anyway, your video..
i didn't understand some of the words or theory.
but very clever..and he was only writing a masters at the same time.

(slacker :D )

get better soonest.:)
