What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Well good morning to everyone from the little house in the prairie in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of Thai green curry with zero rice came in at 5.1 this am

Zoo yesterday with the ninky nonks; tigers were out stalking - so were the rhino’s (I didn’t know that they are also called hippopotamuses but there you go), other animals also played their parts. “Can we have ice cream grandad”.

Today we have been promised thunder storms - at the moment that looks like fake news but you never know with these things.
Tried using a background ‘wallpaper’ for this picture.

Have a great Saturday, hope everyone is as well as they can possibly be. Koffy time.

I love the aged effect. I am going to find that paper and see how it works.
I like the way you have got the shading on the distant hills, and the foreground as well. And the shape of the ancient trees @dunelm

Thunderstorms must be fake news, or my weather app is telling porkies. Clear blue skies and sun out there...cat and I are going in the garden....

Good morning everyone. This really is the age of known unknowns, especially the importance of what we don't know we don't know. Libre gave a 4.8 for my fbg rising to 5.1. No idea what my bg actually is, how good or bad that is and how much collateral damage I have done elsewhere in the getting there. Frustrating if I take this seriously and very cognitive dissonant, when I'm so deeply invested in this woe and testing, if I don't take it seriously. Apart from all that I'm deliriously happy:angelic:

Lesson in not trusting online reviews. Ordered 2 pairs of cargo shorts via amazon - lots of zip pockets so I don't lose keys etc. Reviews said they come up small, order 1 size up. Arrived, tried on, fell off. Probably 2 sizes too big. Clothes sizing - another known unknown:arghh:
This might help, all the best country folk resort to it....

Edit.. instructions for use, thread through loops on shorts and pull tight, tie any knot you fancy

Hi,
Had the migraine aura yesterday after my walk down the road, renders the rest of the day practically useless.
But I got letter from the diabetic eye people saying my test was delayed due covid and they were adding three months on to the time for it!
There were just two options, one was contact your GP if your worried..

I was really disappointed, I at least thought they would give me a third option of driving to Barnard Castle! :) D.

Running around today but managed to get a couple of sketches done whilst visiting our son. Mrs MC was involved with grandaughters rabbits which took for ever and so I did two graphite drawings whilst drinking coffee. First was some outbuildings I could see at a nearby farm A4 size, second a tree in the field behind son's cottage, did tree useing a line style, A5 size.

Very nice sketches, muddy.
My art comes after a long gestation and a difficult delivery!

Two wonderful sketches @Muddy Cyclist

Fbg 6.7
Temp 35.9

Long sleepless night. Too hot. Fell asleep at dawn, woke up just now. Annoyed I have missed the best part of the day. It is uplifting watching the morning sky wake up.

Take care.
Have a good day.

Thank you for your comments - I think that the background paper adds to it.
